I was waiting for that walk-off just as everyone else was.

37 fricking games into the season and we still don’t know how to win. We have damn near just run into 24 fricking wins this year because we are in fact THAT capable.

This team could be a legit squad but they fricking SUCK at finding consistency in literally anything they do. They can hit but can’t score runs. Sometimes they can’t hit at all. Sometimes they blow out the #1 team in the country on the road. Sometimes our Friday-Saturday starters actually look like aces. Most of the time they’re pedestrian. Sometimes the bullpen will throw a shutout staff game. Sometimes they can’t tie their own fricking shoes without two other people to help them.

Its Strickin. This has been the same for 7 years now.

Missouri was 11-23 before this weekend and they arent even doing anything. We are doing everything for them. Errors, walks, mind frick ups, not hitting starters with 7+ ERA.

I want Strickin gone. He rebuilt us to here but we have to have someone with a killer instinct.

As I’ve said previously, this is who we are until Brooks and Co see fit to invest in us like our top of the line SEC brethren. We will continue to get above average but not elite classes and make the tournament but not ever do much until we give a legitimate coach a reason to come here and not to Carolina, Arkansas, LSU, Clemson, etc

Agreed. Its embarassing looking at Foley and realizing we have maybe the 11th to 12th best baseball facilities in the SEC. At least a third of the conference seats three times as many as Foley.

We just gave stricklin an extension lol. We have been so historically bad the last decade with coaching decisions from top to bottom across the whole ad. Comical almost.

Jesus I don’t even worry so much about attendance figures as just not looking like a nicer version of what Mizzou has. Build a grass berm down the 3B line or, better yet, build out the facility down both lines and include some patio spacing that can be standing room during non con and expand to larger capacity for conference play.

If I can think of this shite surely the AD can and has. Just stop with the shitty chain link fencing and turf mgmt shed. Build up the right field area to invite people to sit out there for something other than just overflow

Has it? Kirby, Joni Taylor, Petros were all great hire...Crean sucks but at least they tried to o make a big hire. Stricklin got robbed by COVID last year, and is doing okay this year given the young roster...despite the dramatics posted weekly ITT

Golf, tennis, and swimming and diving aren't changing. Know nothing about the volleyball or gymnastics coaches.

Its something that pisses me off. When you have Ole Miss, LSU, Miss State, and Arkansas having over 10k people at a game and we can barely get 3K.

When you have thousands of students out beyond the outfield making an impact on the game, and remember what we had in the early 2000s with Kudzu Hill, and that tradition is almost gone and all any administration did to foster growth with the students was put a couple of temporary middle school type bleachers beyond right field.

It all just pisses me off.

Gymnastics has become an afterthought whereas they once dominated the sport.

Volleyball and soccer both are marginally better than they were but, obviously, no growth that has caused anyone to take notice

The right field clean up was well intentioned but renaming it the Garden Club after former ADs who would go sit out there and then putting trees at the top of the hill that all but block out the houses in June told me all I need to know about what the admin thinks of the program. Latest renovation was nice but did little to actually improve the program other than allow Butts-Mehre to sell some luxury seating options. Meanwhile, can’t even expand the awning over the general admission sections to make it a more inviting space for the few people that are able to attend.

Its going to take a baseball version of Jeremy Pruitt to get something, other than a band aid, done to the facilities.

Jeremy Pruitt only was able to do what he did because he had boosters to back him on his takes and the AD knew it.

It’s going to require someone or multiple people with some notable cash to spend to put up and make demands. UGA has been the poster child of a reactive philosophy for decades now and I doubt they’ll suddenly take a proactive approach to building a current program into an actual money making opportunity unless someone pushes them on it. I would love and am waiting eagerly for Brooks to prove me wrong.

Need Hancock and Wilcox to start donating.....but thats kind of part of it. We need successful MLB players that can give back. Vandy polished their turd until it looked like a diamond from donations from David Price and others. The administration finally bought in, and now they have a small but gorgeous place.
