Davis needs to show more pass rush ability. Run clogging DTs still have their place in the NFL, but they don't get paid a ton anymore.

Every team runs inside zone in the nfl. Davis is a huge commodity in the NFL "IF" he can hold up doubleteams against better, bigger offensive linemen.

As for pass rush, he is actually great at it. His job is to collapse the pocket and he does it as well as any DL on our team.

The question marks on Davis are conditioning.
His first 2 years, he didnt play a ton of snaps. He essentially is a 50+% run stuffer. First and second downs and third and short. Pull him on 2nd and long where the run ratio dips.

I think his number was roughly 25 snaps a game in 2018 and 2019. I think that number was trending up in 2020. But the injury puts a damper on the improvement.

The only reason Davis comes back for 2021 is if he doesnt return in 2020. There are only 55 or so roster spots in the NFL. Davis was injured in 2019. And injured in 2020. A full season healthy could improve if he doesnt get a chance to flash this November/December/January.

I'm not certain that Jordan Davis comes back.

I'd be very surprised if he did. Love it, but definitely not expecting it.

There's almost no way Beck and Dwan stay. Dwan isn't a power 5 QB and apparently, Beck isn't happy at all. And rumor is that he's not very good either.

He went from being Mr. Football in the state of Florida and Bama's guy to being buried in our depth chart. It's probably a huge reality check for him, so he's pointing his finger at everyone but himself.

Doesn’t matter. Everyone has an extra year.

Im watching the jim Donnan podcast now.

Says nate McBride may come back.
Says demetrius robertson could be a likely returnee.

Everyone else would be a pro or get a pro workout.

Dayne said that Shaffer may want to return as a lot of his time was injured at UGA.

Not after last saturdays game.

It felt like he was playing concussed. I dont have any ill intent with that comment. He just continually failed to block the correct guy.

And for a player who has been a lifelong guard... it is puzzling how difficult assignments were. Maybe it was the 3-3 that gives him trouble as it isnt seen often.

Davis should cash in. He's dealt with injury every season so rolling the dice on the next is a high risk.

Salyer has played well and been consistent. He could come back, but I doubt it.

Campbell could come back, and I think he should. He still hasn't shown his best and a great year will mean dollars.

Schafer, Cleveland, Herring - all gone.

It's a toss up for everyone else.

Herring, Cleveland, Rochester, Webb, Lecounte, Stokes, Rice, Mckitty, J Johnson, Wyatt are all gonna leave

Campbell should come back which I think most people have said. But I think he'll get a 2nd round grade and leave

Ojulari I think will be back

I'm most intrigued to see if DJ Daniel comes back. Could definitely use him especially if Campbell leaves.

Don't care about Shaffer, Robertson or Mcbride

Indeed. As a dude who came in and had to kind of grind to earn playing time, he was a pretty unheralded recruit to begin with (thought to be sort of a lesser inclusion behind Netori Johnson who has unfortunately not panned out, with some health concerns holding him back at least partly). You'd expect him to maybe lose battles due to getting outmanned physically by superior talent, not just outright missing responsibilities and blocking the wrong man. If he does come back, hopefully what we saw last weekend was exactly that, confusion due to newness/irregularity. Otherwise, no offense, but need someone else to man that spot.

Unless a guy can count on a large contribution and an improved year next season there's no reason to risk getting beat out.

Of the guys on the line only Salyer is safe. The front 7 is open competition for plays with the amount of rotation. There will be more competition for DB slots.

The only listed guys who can count on improving draft stock significantly are Campbell and Salyer. Everyone else will lean towards leaving.

I dont think Salyer is safe at LT.

He isnt a nimble left tackle. He is a big guard that gets caught cheating against elite pass rushers.

Salyer is definitely in the top 5 on our OL. Just probably not at tackle next season.
Hill is safe. He isnt as consistent as I would like. But he has shown improvement and maybe has more growth before he tops out at his potential.

I don't see a 2nd round grade. Too much bad film in college. He isnt a top 60 player... even if there is a run on his position. I dont see a 3rd round grade at this point either. If he goes 4th round, it would be on potential and not on film.
QBR on him is too high at this point.

I dont see Ojulari back unless we expect a change in scheme.

On film, there isnt anything else he needs to show. He is complete.

Statistically, he is pretty elite. Especially considering his snap count.

And based upon this years philosophy, he would get limited snaps next season sharing reps with johnson, anderson, smith, and Sherman (and that doesnt even count mondon or jefferson)

Daniel will get an nfl camp invite.
If he feels better than ringo or kimber, he could come back.
That would be the only reason to return (to start)

The guy that actually has been around forever is Rochester. He was having a good year before the injury. Anyone think he will come back? We could use another guy with his size.

I think I've read that his family cares a lot about education but maybe I'm mistaken. That's why I think he comes back. Otherwise he's a top 2 round pick so might as well go.

Johnson is gone, he's a senior and NFL ready.

I guess Walter Grant could be back next year? No one knows why he didn't play this year...

Who out of azeez, jermaine, anderson, and nolan would you bench for grant to play?
