No chance he comes back.

Same with a couple of the other players, but legit 0 chance Davis does.

I dont think Salyer is safe at LT.

He isnt a nimble left tackle. He is a big guard that gets caught cheating against elite pass rushers.

Salyer is definitely in the top 5 on our OL. Just probably not at tackle next season.
Hill is safe. He isnt as consistent as I would like. But he has shown improvement and maybe has more growth before he tops out at his potential.

Salyer is likely safe at LT next season, although he'll play G on the next level. No shame in not being able to dominate 1 or 2 elite pass rushers - especially when none of them dominate him either.

He's also quick to the next level and good finding a guy to put a hat on in space. Add to that he's seldom penalized on a unit that's had issues and his main competition will be freshmen with no experience, and I call that pretty safe.

That's where I disagree.
He has to cheat to keep up. And that leaves him vulnerable over and over and over.

He is easily our best lineman this season. And that's why he is trusted at LT.

Jones and Ratledge will have a year in the system. And Mims is something like the 5th highest UGA recruit ever (which is saying something). He absolutely can be pushed next season. Especially if he feels OG is a better fit at the next level.

For the record, I didnt want cordy glenn at LT. Initially, I was correct as he struggled with knowing his assignments. However he easily proved me wrong and developed into a high draft pick at LT. I can admit I was wrong.

For the record, I still think it was retarded to play Catalina at LT and Wynn at LG. That made no sense to me and to this day I still feel I was right.

The only way Salyer moves inside is if Amarius Mims is the real deal.

Schaffer got beat consistently in the run game. His pass protection was ok . 2021 Clay Webb LG.

Hill can't figure out high snaps. 2021 Sedrick Van Pran(Hill may declare for the NFL)

Ben Cleveland is headed to the NFL. 2021 Tate Ratledge RG.

McClendon got pushed around against State. He is our best option at RT.......... this year. 2021 Broderick Jones.

Who out of azeez, jermaine, anderson, and nolan would you bench for grant to play?

Jermaine Johnson is a senior and has about a 0% chance of coming back. I think Ojulari is at about 50%.

So if both of them leave your outside LBs are Nolan Smith, Anderson, Sherman, Beal(?), and Grant.

In that scenario Grant is probably your 3rd or 4th OLB

We recruited 2 pretty elite tackles last season. It could be Mims. But it just as easily could be Jones or Ratledge. If we want "massive", it could even be Truss. Currently, he is the next option at LT behind Salyer.

We need the best 5 out there. And that probably isn't Salyer at T next season, imo.

2021 Clay Webb LG.

I dont know what is up with Webb. But we dont hear anything about him.
Erickson is the next best option at G. I'd love Salyer back on the inside. Willock, Blaske, and Lindbergh are all making headway at G right now. Ratledge is working at Rt behind Condon.

Everybody on defense eligible to declare to the NFL is just about replaceable except for Davis and Lecounte.

A mass exodus from our DB's would hurt the most.

I agree Davis won’t come back, and he shouldn’t. That is one of the few areas I take issue with how bama handles their personnel management. They regularly talk players into coming back that should never come back. It’s just an injury risk. If you are going to act like you put the interest of the players first you have to let them go make their money.

We won't be hurting at DB. I don't think Campbell is leaving but Stokes may be gone. I don't know about DJ Daniel. Even if Campbell leave we will have.........

Lewis Cine
Kelee Ringo
Jalen Kimber
Christopher Smith
William Poole
Tyrique Stevenson
Major Burns

Incoming Freshmen

David Daniel
Kamari Lassiter(I hear he is big time)
De'Jahn Warren(JC)

I might be updating this list tomorrow.

My main worries with the CB’s is a lot of the guys that will definitely stay are kind of hybrids. Stevenson is huge and I don’t feel comfortable with him in all coverage situations. I’d imagine we keep Daniel who is a true cover corner. Stoked is gone and I think Campbell probably is too.

Cine is a stud.

The hope is that ringo will be a stud as well.

Stevenson is a stud (sometimes).

Hopefully, burns will make the leap that Cine has.
Hopefully campbell returns (he should).

At that point, everyone else is depth and dime. Poole seems to have earned trust. I dont know what his top potential is but it does seem like he is consistent enough for the coaches.

Losing a Lecounte and stokes is tough. But ringo and Cine should be leaders for us.

Saw on another board where some prep reps for Saturdays game included

Lt truss
Lg hill
C Erickson
RG cleveland
Rt salyer

It makes me wonder about shake ups for 2021.
Truss is massive. Could he slide to RG if he is in the top 5?
If Truss stayed at LT, could jones grab RT and shift Salyer to LG with Hill at RG?

Having hill beside a RSFR would be a bonus with his understanding of the offense and checks. And Salyer being the better pass pro working on the left side with stunts and twists against blindside OLBs/DEs.

This is pretty close to what I have been hoping to see at some point. Need Truss or someone to graduate into a starting tackle spot, to get Jamaree back to his natural position if at all possible. Would like to see Hill no longer snapping the ball of someone else can do a better job also. Let him focus on his first step more.

The guy that has a tag of eating double teams, collapsing the pocket, and ability to rush the QB...

No one should expect him back. I expect a late 1st, early 2nd round grade and late 2nd at worst.
