I know we aren’t done with 2020 yet but it’s hard for me to not look ahead. We still have 5-6 more spots in the class as well.

It will be interesting to see what type of players choose to split or stick around. Will it only be guys who are expected to be drafted that leave or will some just move on? For example D-Rob. He won’t be drafted but I could see him just moving on.

Regardless, our secondary seems to be the only weak point next year. Getting one Stokes or Campbell back would be huge.

My predictions:

QB
1. JT Daniels
2. Brock Vandagriff
3. Dwan Mathis/Carson Beck

RB
1. Kendall Milton
2. Zamir White
3. Kenny McIntosg
4. James Cook
5. Daijun Edwards
6. Lovasea Caroll

WR-X
1. George Pickens
2. Marcus Rosemy
3. Matt Landers

WR-Z
1. Jermaine Burton
2. Demetris Robertson
3. Justin Robinson

Slot WR
1. Kearis Jackson
2. Dominick Blaylock
3. Arian Smith

TE
1. Darnell Washington
2. Tre McKitty
3. John Fitzpatrick
4. Brock Bowers

LT
1. Jamaree Salyer (if he stays)
2. Xavier Truss
3. Micah Morris

LG
1. Trey Hill
2. Justin Shaffer
3. Chad Lindberg

C
1. Warren Ericson
OR
Sedrick Van Pran
OR
Clay Webb

RG
1. Ben Cleveland (if he stays)
2. Warren McClendon
3. Dylan Fairchild

RT
1. Broderick Jones
2. Amarius Mims
3. Tate Ratledge

Even if Salyer and Cleveland leave:

LT- McClendon/Broderick Jones
LG- Trey Hill
C- SVP
RG- Shaffer
RT- Mims

Defense:

DE
1. Malik Herring (if he stays)
2. Travon Walker
3. Tramel Walthour

NT
1. Jordan Davis
2. Jalen Carter
3. Tymon Mitchell

DT
1. Devonte Wyatt
2. Julian Rochester
3. Nazir Stackhouse
4. Warren Brinson

JACK (I’m assuming Azeez is gone)
1. Nolan Smith
2. Jermaine Johnson
3. MJ Sherman

SAM
1. Adam Anderson
2. Smael Mondon
3. Robert Beal

MIKE
1. Monty Rice
2. Quay Walker
3. Trezman Marshall

WILL
1. Nakobe Dean
2. Channing Tindall
3. Rian Davis

LCB
1. DJ Daniel
2. David Daniel
3. Ameer Speed

RCB
1. Kelee Ringo
2. De’Jahn Warren
3. Jalen Kimber

SS
1. Chris Smith
2. Latavious Brini
3. William Poole

FS
1. Lewis Cine
2. Major Burns

Star
1. Tyrique Stevenson
2. Mark Webb

Doesn’t matter. Everyone has an extra year. I don’t see him getting a great draft grade so I bet he comes back. Might be wrong

NCAA is giving everyone a free year.

NCAA hasn’t officially come out with it yet but they’re expected to increase the limit.

I have a feeling it’s going to lead to a TON of transfers.

Lol. It matters quite a bit, just bc him and others CAN come back doesn't mean they will. And I truly cant even count how many times we've had a guy had absolutely zero business leaving early but left anyway.

Shaffer is gone
Cleveland is gone
Herring is gone
Jordan Davis is gone
Devonte wyatt is gone
Jermaine johnson is gone
Rice is gone

I'm not positive on Mark Webb. I think he is gone.

And no idea what these guy are thinking. I guess we got lucky when all those guys came back in 2017. Been a mass exit since then.

Replace Landers with Bennett IV would be an upgrade.

And, with the exception of Davis and maybe Rice, they're all making a mistake.

Guys who could improve their draft stock or at least work on a graduate degree for free while extending their playing careers for one more year. This season doesn't count towards eligibility, so they're able to come back next year.

Considering the questionable future of sports in general, many of these guys should be focused on the student aspect of student/athlete.

Sometimes, a dude is going to be as good as he is going to be.

Jermaine Johnson is an NFL ready player. He isnt going to get snaps to improve upon this years film.

Malik Herring is an nfl ready player. He isnt going to get more athletic.
Same for devonte wyatt.
Same for ben cleveland.

Ben can learn how to block in space. But he should be able to land a squad (and maybe start) on his ability to crash down a defender alone.
If he isnt blocking in space after 5 years, it is time to see if the nfl can find a use for what he is great at.

Seriously? Jordan davis missed the sugar bowl because he was academically ineligible. A grad degree may be great for a player. Is that player Julian Rochester? If he was a grad degree guy, he could have had one by now.

We have been recruiting studs for 3 years (about to be a 4th). We have guys ready to step up and perform equal or better to everyone I listed except for jordan davis. If we cant find a better left guard than Shaffer next year, we have a coaching up problem (or better LT/LG combo). I dont care if Shaffer wants a grad degree.

Davis needs to show more pass rush ability. Run clogging DTs still have their place in the NFL, but they don't get paid a ton anymore.

Davis reminds me of Damon Harrison.
