Tank announces when he will be committing, CBs roll in for Auburn, and then Kendall Milton tweets this:

quote:

I’m just gon say thank me later ?? #GoDawgs

....

And now Lindberg and Ratledge have chimed in

So something is going on behind the scenes

Apparently it’s not just smoke, something is going on because the UGA site mods are aware but won’t give any hints

Rusty won’t drop a CB until about 30 mins before he commits, however Kipp Adams is one to watch

It seems that the Oline and Milton tweets might be related to SVP announcing soon and not the Tank stuff. Not saying that's actually it, but some people who know a lot more than me think so.

I think it's pretty apparent that our staff thinks we have a decent shot at Evans. If they take Bigsby now they are out of it for Evans and they have decided it's worth the risk to continue to recruit him.

Any particular reason why you believe this to be the case?

Fromm Kipp:

Lot of buzz on social media from Georgia commitments about the Bulldogs possibly having good news coming in recruiting. From what I have heard, September could be a month to watch and this is not about the upcoming announcement of four-star offensive lineman Sedrick Van Pran....

As I said, just heard it from people who know a lot more than me. Also, said it might not be true.

Hopefully you didn't take that as some kind of incendiary post, I was literally just trying to get to the root of what made you think it was Van Pran, since a lot of the insiders seem to be pretty clear that it's an offensive player but *not* Van Pran. Was just offering up evidence to the contrary.

It’s not Tank and it’s not SVP. The unspoken suggestions are that it’s Evans but I’ll believe it when I see it and lord knows a public commit won’t mean anything until we have him signed in December. Texas may be moving on now that they have Bijan on board but you can be sure A&M and LSU will just get nastier in his recruitment

Appreciate the information. BTW, this'll be the Kirbiest thing ever. Spurned by Lloyd to SCU. Have to settle for the number 1 back in the country. Oh well....

refreshing thing about Kendall is he is willing to share the load and the spotlight w/ another RB. This worked out well for Chubb & Sony. They will have more tread on tire when it is time to get paid on 2nd contract. Both still got drafted relatively high with late 1st(Sony) and early 2nd(Chubb).

Seems we are all thinking along the lines of a RB, but aren't we supposed to be hearing from Arian Smith? Or it could be Theo Johnson, Arik Gilbert or Washington?

If may think it is an offensive player, then there are plenty of those out there still looking at us. I'm not ready to think it is a RB, because if it is, then I would think it is definitely not going to be Evans, since it is still early for him to be committing.

So with Cox being dismissed, are we going after another OLB?
