Sharing these here, none are my own posts or opinions but I know not everyone goes to every board...

#1 class, again. Yeah I love those chances right now. Very successful weekend.

So hitting the bigger, more surprising names first...

Burch- heading into this weekend, I’ve been consistently told staff is confident here. Hearing Burch and his mother really enjoyed themselves, and there was chatter among the players in tow that they feel Burch will be a Dawg. Burch and Jalen Carter are being sold as havoc players that UGA doesn’t currently have. That messaging might ruffle some feathers on the board but it’s absolutely true. Feedback is he’s buying into feeling like the priority on DL. He and his mother were seen all smiles several times on campus; normally this is vanilla news but considering they’re so tight lipped, take it as a positive. Previously, I was told if Burch showed up this weekend, it would wrap it up, and he showed (I’ve heard that same message about others previously that also hit). As a result, I’m now going to expect him in this class trusting the confidence staff has maintained for months now. Objectively, CU also had a successful weekend. Burch is close with a few players there as well (similar to J. Carter). This will remain a fight but I believe UGA will win this one. Not ready to remove the chickens but I feel this will be a UGA/CU battle in the end. Being a part of a winning culture matters to the Burch camp and I’d be shocked if usc can show that once the season starts. There’s also some previous missteps by CU that I’ve been told to keep close and it goes beyond pursuing Myles Murphy. UGA is our pick.

Evans-this one is going to be a fun recruitment so buckle up. My source believes it’s a two horse race still, TAMU/UGA. Evans had a great time this weekend. Dell is pushing Evans to decide now essentially. Full court press is on. Evans told a few that he was tired of the recruiting game; our own @JeffSentell has heard some heard similar chatter. One highlight apparently was a face time between Evans and Milton with other major targets present. I’m moving this back up to 50/50 (literally) with TAMU. I don’t see bama as legit competition in this one based on the chatter I’m receiving. I’ve also heard Tank is moving his commitment back into the season; we don’t know what that means officially but it’s an indicator confidence is high on Evans. This doesn’t mean Tank has moved on. It does mean Dell is going hard at Evans as the second best RB in his eyes this class.

Other news...

We’re expecting 5 OL, 4 WR, 5 DL. Being told a full class will be taken. Couple of changes on mock.

TE class: Gilbert and Large (I’ll get into this one later)

DL class: Carter, Burch, Brinson, Stackhouse, and Z. Walker. A few changes here. Seems like the current events of a few DL targets have changed the board on Stackhouse. Still possible he’s not in this class but because of a few changes/performances, we have his commitment sticking. On Walker there’s belief that he will beef up into a true 3T and has similar projection to that of a J. Cowan. So here we have Burroughs and Cowan out. Decommitment before season starts.

DB class: Ringo, Kimber, and J. Conley. If Williams wants in, he’s going to need to decide quickly and it doesn’t sound like the timelines are currently matching up. He has a tough decision centered around family there.

OL: Add Lindberg and SVP.

WR: our class was on campus this week. Been trying to talk up Smith, we should be very excited about his game. He could easily be the best of the bunch. Rosemy, Robinson, and Wren would pair with him.

Finally, I’m hearing 3-4 commitments are imminent. Obviously I won’t release names but within the week across the 20 & 21 class should announce.

re: Washington removed from his mock -

"Not so much anything went wrong. Conflicting info on this one so confidence is lower. I think this will be an either or situation with Gilbert or Washington. We’ll see, would love to take both but..."

Putting things together from a few other posts:

Class is more or less full, and more and more confidence in a "full class of 25"...
Minimum should be 2 commits in the next couple of days, possibly up to 4 including 2020 and 2021 guys...

Make of all that what you want...

Thanks for sharing Fib.

SoFl is usually pretty accurate, but does tend towards the “Disney” side of the world.

I just won’t believe it with Evans or (especially) Burch until I see it. I think we were running third for both coming into the weekend, so it will be interesting to see where the news goes once the visit high wears off.

At this point, Sam Pittman takes whomever the frick he wants, and the other 127 schools go afterwards.

It’s just crazy how he keeps stacking the talent in that position group. And we all know how important that position is. Doesn’t take much to get an injury and in the past we would’ve been in trouble. But now we just shuffle players around and keep rolling. Yesssirrr

Once we start recruiting on the DL the way Pittman has on OL, then we make the jump to hyperspace.
