It's been a super long month considering it's supposed to be a great one.

This is all still recruiting related...

Should be some good intel out of the weekend.

Guidance has been 'up to' 4 commits not including the expected commitment from Milton.

Would see that as 2-3 from 2020 and 1-2 from 2021.

OT, WR, DB
QB, DB

If you've been following along you can probably guess all but maybe the 21 DB at this point.

really comes down to what are we considering success... is it getting meaningful players that contribute, or recruiting rankings. If it's rankings, then hard to say 2013 was a success but 2015 was not.

Floyd's ranking was low because of his academic situation. It is part of the equation (can't be a p5 player if you can't be a p5 player). Floyd was the #1 juco. Those have been good for p5 teams in the past.

Off the top of my head... I remember battles with Sweat and Burns. There were available targets that we got close on.

You do make a good point about elite numbers. They are elite because there are not a lot of them. And we arent going to hit them all (sucks that FSU seems to be the destination for a couple of those big misses).

The end result is where we are today. Year 4 with Kirby and desperate for an under classman to dominate the league.

Does anyone know where Caleb Williams the 2021 QB went this weekend? Just curious.

Never mind apparently he went to Oregon’s weekend event.

Crystal balls rolling in for Chad Lindberg OT. So many that we now lead in CB's at 75%.

I got that. What are you talking about with a Kirby needing an underclassman to dominate the league?

OLB

Our best talent is 2018 and 2019 recruiting classes (I disagree with fib, I like the top ranked talent for 2020 that we have). We have a youth movement at a crucial position.

We need big things from the position to win big games.

What’s this part about year 4? We landed Beal the first year but he’s struggled. We have Cox, Ojulari, and Anderson in the sophomore class who look like studs and Smith behind them. What’s to worry about on the field the next two years?

Burns was in my post... Sweat was a WDE but operated on the DL exclusively at FSU to my knowledge.

I think at this point it's fine to let it drop. You're generally a solid poster and clearly we're not going to come to much common ground here.

Just to clarify, I'm very happy with Sherman and I think Sewell will be a stud, my comment about not prioritizing LB in 2020 was explicitly about the number of spots that we're willing to invest into the position this year. At present it's 2 with *maybe* a chance to add a +1, unless you count guys rated at DL who will likely end up at DE but might spend a year as a hybrid OLB/DE.
