Only if we could be that lucky. The turds are going to quickly figure out Mullen can’t keep up with Kirby and might fall behind UT depending on how this cycle goes.

Bresee = overhyped and overrated. Great White Hope syndrome. Should have gotten Capehart or Dexter.
Wow... What are you basing this on.
A) you're pretty clearly wrong... Bresee is the best combination of athleticism, strength, and technique at the position this year... He's dominating elite OL at camps regularly...
B) we're still in the mix on Dexter. I don't see a huge chance to pull off the flip but we're still working him.

This would still seem highly probable fwiw.

100% of my comments on the rant are satirical. That is not a place for any serious discussion.

Yeah, those are obviously sarcastic. That board has turned into a complete cesspool in the last couple years.

I am looking forward to the next couple of months on there. Last year was a lot of fun rustling all the South Carolina guys. This year it will be Florida.

Didn’t Ratledge battle him to a draw at The Open?

He won 2 out of the 3 reps I saw... dunno if they ended up matched up again. Tate definitely stuffed him once on what seemed to be a pre-meditated spin. Tate is an absolute beast, and if you haven't listened to the DN Daily podcast from earlier this week where Sentell discussed the Opening, it's worth listening to the part about him sending film to Pittman after a bad round and the results.
Sentell in that same podcast also said that it appeared that Bresee was utilizing the Opening as more of a training ground... less about "I have to win" and more about trying out different approaches... He lost series here against guys he's dominated at multiple past camps... so I wouldn't read too much into his performance at the Opening. He also took reps at DT and DE, but he's only rated as highly as he is as a DT. He'll be an elite player and he's going to a school that's developed the position well. I think it's wildly dismissive to try and say he's overhyped... Not the number 1 player? Sure... that's subjective as hell anyways... but it's not like he's not one of the 2-3 best players at his position and probably top 10 in the country by any reasonable standard, given how few college ready prospects seem to exist at the DL level each year.
FWIW, I didn't DV you...

Jase McClellan headed to Athens soon. Committed to OU; any realistic chance to flip him? Do we want him over Tank?

Realistic chance to flip him? I dunno there. Do we know if this is an official or unofficial? If unofficial, seems like there would have to be some sincere interest in getting some more info? If it's an OV, it could just be a nice summer vacation.
Personally, I'd take several players over Tank - McClellan and Lloyd at the top of that list (I think Evans is a pipe dream at this point from everything that I'm hearing...). I'm just not convinced that he's got what we need as a complimentary skillset to Milton. But... I also only have his Hudl film to go on. He supposedly had a nice showing in Frisco, including showing off some receiving skills... so maybe I'm unfairly harsh on him. He just doesn't seem to have enough "intentional elusiveness" if that makes sense... he just seems to plod ahead and split defenders who look to be poor tacklers, but you don't see him making much of an effort to show change of direction, jump cut, dead leg, juke in any of the highlights that I've seen.
If Tank is the guy, I hope we see some real improvement in that arena in his Sr season.

UGA does have a better history of getting multiple backs to the league than OU does. So it wouldn't surprise me if did take a strong look at UGA

Sentell is usually decent, but I tune him out whenever he discusses Clemson or any Clemson player/recruit. He has a really weird infatuation with their program.

Whenever he first started there he used to give out a lot of recruiting tidbits that we didn't already know about. Now he just confirms what we are hearing and says that he cant say much because he like to protect the integrity of the recruit. Which I don't disagree but why are you getting paid to tell us what we learn beforehand?

I'm not sure, but I think he must have gotten his hand slapped or something... maybe the 247/Rivals guys were making it difficult for him to get access or something? Because I definitely agree. Early on, he had some pretty legitimate nuggets. These days, he's even more cryptic than the guys who actually sell subscriptions and usually it's useless info. I still like his storytelling aspect to his articles, but he's not where I'd go for insight on where a recruit is heading. He does somehow often have pretty good insight as to who the "next up" candidates might be for UGA in the event of a miss, and frequently it's guys that we haven't heard much buzz around to UGA, so that has stood out as odd to me a bit.

It’s pretty clear that his sources are typically recruits themselves and their families. That’s why you get the good info on the background and home life, but also that means you only hear positive things, and there is rarely objective analysis about which recruits are or aren’t being hotly pursued.

which is crazy because the 247 guys have seemed to get a lot better this year. I think that was because subscribers of their site were verbalizing their displeasure with the lack of informative articles they were writing.

Will Arian be a WR or a CB?
Anyways, Gators melting over at 247, made their Arian Smith to GA thread VIP. Also, heard rumblings of a first game drug suspension for a Gat D starter & D backup. As well as a possible Title IX issue for another Gat D backup.
