Grain of salt of course but some dude on Twitter said Jamie will announce hes transferring to UGA this afternoon.
Im taking the whole salt shaker on this one but you never know. We could use some good news rat about now.

Word was from people like Emerson and Blackeledge that UGA was already on this weeks ago. You have to be, can't just assume Jake is coming back.

Yeah I’m sure coaches had a feeling about Jake and at minimum wanted to cover their arse even if they thought Jake was staying

Jamie looks a little like Juicy Smole-yay in this pic from his twitter acct:

So all those reports of Oregon being the leader........who makes this shite up?

I mean they probably were until Fromm declared. And it's not over yet but hey, that's show biz, baby.

He can stay close to home and play in the sec. not that hard of a sell

Don’t think it was made up at all. I think Oregon was the early leader, but they lost their OC, and UGA lost Fromm. Things are always fluid until a decision is made.

I like Seth's logic on this.
"If he was still high on Oregon, then why hasn't he declared to go there yet? I suspect because he might have been waiting to see what Jake Fromm decided."
Makes sense.
Plus, it's close enough to home that his family could easily drive to every game.
This is probably a no-brainer for the kid.

He'll also get a lot more exposure playing in the Eastern time zone as opposed to the Pacific.

So now that we've established his nickname,
we have to wait to make the offensive staff changes after Juicy signs, correct?

He'd be an idiot to follow Pittman to Arky. Man they have a 4 year rebuild ahead

My dad just said and showed me that dawgnation (ajc) has an article saying Newman committed to Georgia. When you click it gives an error implying they released it too early.
Posted on 1/9/20 at 4:45 pm to Damn Good Dawg
Yeah just search Jamie Newman on google:
Edit: since it went to new page, thought I'd clarify. This is just a screen cap of a google search, but the article is a 404 error as it looks like DN had to pull it down for releasing it too early.
