That's a shame, really. I mean when I was playing HS in Georgia only 1 team from the region went to the playoffs. Now 3 go (I think) and the region only has 6.

Ouch. Everybody gets a trophy, I guess. I guess I am spoiled...the 4 years I was in HS the teams I played for went 3 of the 4 years.

There’s too many classifications now IMO. It’s going to be 8 classifications next year and I think you could easily make it 6 or 7 without creating any massive competitive disparities (from a population standpoint.) That would create larger regions. However, AD’s on the reclassification committee aren’t going to vote away easier access to playoff money.

C
That was it. The two teams I played for both played AA...or the second biggest classification.
