So broadcast will start at 2, children’s choir performance at 2:15, HS coach will give Christmas mass from 2:30-3:30, communion to all present from 3:30-4, and if he’s still feeling up to it Burch will announce around 4:15

One day we are going to have to explain to a younger generation what it was like waiting for Isaiah Wilson’s announcement and how we watched an entire class of Brooklyn children perform a Christmas pageant beforehand

What about em? Those cold arse people have never been happy a day in their lives, not sure why the Isaiah Wilson experience would alter their demeanor for better or worse

Was just thinking they were certain they would land Wilson back then. It was tough sitting through that, but at least we landed him.

I can’t know for certain but I think Jim Harbaugh has tried to avoid the state of Georgia since that recruitment. Dude has been disgusted with us since then and I couldn’t be happier about it

I'm thinking the transfer portal is going to be key for UGA recruiting receivers in the near future more than any other position, and there's definitely opportunity in the Georgia WR corps. I know Justin Shorter & Tarik Black are already in.

Actually, I hope not. We have the talent and actually the numbers there with the coming class. Our biggest problem this past year came from inexperience. If our WRs buckle down and go to work this off season they can be an excellent unit. I would hate to see some of them walk away from the program because we are going after a quick fix GT.

I know we lose Cager and Simmons....anybody else? (I can't remember) We have an excellent core in Pickens, Jackson, Blaylock and Bush (If he can stay healthy) and if Robertson stays (Probably?) we could have a pretty darn good group. Especially when/if we add Rosemy, Justin Robinson and Arian Smith...IF we add Burton as some have suggested we would be pretty darn good looking to the future.

Not trying to dispute you....just thinking out loud, mainly.

Excellent is a really stretch IMO. You have 2 talented freshman, one of which is now going to be missing all of spring and who knows how much of summer and fall, a 5* transfer who hasn’t made it work for 2 years, an unproven talent in Kearis Jackson and then all the guys you mentioned who haven’t even seen the field.

Some seem to be. Are you hearing anything? I was surprised when some on here began reporting we were in it for him.

I'd put Blount to the list but I heard Buck Belue talking about Jackson,Bush and Blount and wasn't high on any of em.
Kinda strange IMO since all are 4 stars.

I just don't wanna have another year we're
we get exposed with an entire posistion group but we also got killed with injuries.

Maybe. I am hoping our problem was lack of experience and they come through. but we definitely have the numbers/talent. It's a matter of getting them to get down to work and maturing. Robertson has been the big head scratcher for me. The talent is there, but I think he has read way too many of his own clippings.

I actually forgot about Blaylock's injury....somehow.

Jackson can do it. We will need a freshman or two to step up, but with the talent and numbers we have I would hate to see us go out and load up on portal filler. It cuts into the field time of the younger guys and retards their development, imo. They need to see as much of the field as they can. If we go to the portal for a WR, I hope it is only one.

I understand the sentiment, but that is just how the game is played these days. The portal will work against you; might as well let it work for you as well.

Shorter is a plus guy - perfect for what we do and the kind of player (along with an effective scheme)
that helps lure a kid like Brock V.

Also, there's no such thing as a receiver controversy. UGA plays 6-8 every game it seems. More talent means less chance is seeing Landers on the field.

. . . And we have seen injuries this season. Depth matters.

More so as we get farther from the weekend visit.

Blount hasn't done a whole lot since he's been here...one reason I forgot about him, but you are right. Jackson I like....Bush...well, we haven't really seen him.

I'm with you on that. But we should have 8-9 pretty good receivers. Blocking concerns me a little bit with the younger guys. We'll see. We sure could use Burton. I hope there is more than smoke and mirrors to those rumors.

It's always scary when a highly rated recruit goes for a visit so close to signing day. We'll know in a couple of days, though. LSU always seems to come up with really good WRs, though, so y'all can afford him. Why don't y'all just tell him to come to Georgia as a show of good will?

Total BS, but someone on our board said he was in touch with O over the weekend, and said he was considering flipping, then either changed his mind, or didn't

Yeah. And, receivers are used more these days. We will only see more 3 and 4 man sets out there, so you are correct we need plenty of depth.
