J. Holloman
T. Bush
M. Lander

This should a good core group for Fromm. Jake like big receivers he can heave it up to(J. Wimms, 2017). No more small scat gadget WRs Kirby seems to be fond of(I. McKenzie vs Vandy).

I would assume Holloman and DRob would be on the outside with someone like Kearis or Blalock inside. Just hazarding a guess. I don't see how bush or landers would start over DRob though unless we continue to be hellbent on our WRs being block-first.

So all of us wondered about DRob when we didn't see a lot more of him after the first game. Folks insisted he was having issues with the playbook and blocking. Then someone mentioned that he redshirted not long ago.

What is the real story with him?

Looks like he played in 9 games so I don't think that's correct.

I don't think there's necessarily a lot mystery, just guessing IMO:

-With Mecole, Ridley, and Godwin entrenched starters and the emergence of JJ there wasn't really a ton of balls to go around to anyone else,
-He said himself he had to adjust to the blocking and physical aspect of the position coming from a place where he didn't have to do that.

I would hope/expect him to step into Mecole's role immediately this season. As a pure receiver he's outstanding I hope we get him some opportunities this season.

It's never good when a 5 star Georgia native wr recruit openly vocalize dislike for your offensive scheme during the recruiting process..... Bye bye Chaney

Dang, I had no idea. I swear I saw him maybe once after the opener. That's unfortunate. I assume that leaves us having him as a contributor for what will likely be one season?

For clarity, D. Robertson redshirted in 2017 at Cal. He's a redshirt JR for the 2019 season. He does have 2 years of eligibility left.

Tyler Simmons will play a lot as well...may even start. He has elite speed.

Dominick Blaylock should make a splash next year.

Based on what? No one has seen them play a single meaningful snap.

2019 will say alot about who has talent and who is just hype at WR. With all the 1's gone, it shouldn't be hard for the talent to rise to the top and show on the field, quickly. It is going to be exciting.

Yeah, look for DRob and Blaylock to play significant minutes and make up for the loss of Godwin and Hardman.

I’d think you’d have, particularly early on

Holloman
Simmons
Robertson

As someone said in here, I’d be surprised if Simmons wasn’t a starter next year. Not saying we don’t have more talented guys but can’t see Kirby putting a Landers or Bush out there ahead of Simmons. Can’t see anyway the OPs lineup ever happens short of injuries.

Clemson used 2 6’4 wrs who were 5 stars. We don’t have any of those.
