I think he really liked Stanford didn't he? Something about EEs didn't sit right I think.

You can value education while also understanding that being a 1st round pick puts you in a position where you’re making $1 million+/yr at 22 years old.

What I don't get about him is why if he is so interested in this engineering education he doesn't choose a real engineering school with a decent football team. He could get his education and be so much better then the other players on the field. Be a real centerpiece.
It was said he was set to go to Stanford, but they did not allow early enrollees. Other than that, I don't know. I honestly am not familiar with what schools are legitimate engineering schools with good football teams.
If I had to guess, though, I would say he is trying to get a balance between a good education with a shot at a National Championship. Every kid will have differing priorities, though, so it's hard to say.

Exactly. the #1 pick (Baker Mayfield) signed a 4 year $32 million contract.
The #32 pick (Lamar Jackson) signed a 4 year $9.5 million contract.
That's more money than I make in a month!

So basically it's a battle between Georgia and Alabama and we don't really know for sure which school he will choose. Got it.

Quite frankly it’s damn near impossible to pull off a legitimate engineering education as a football player. For one it’s really tough to remain eligible through those classes and for another it’s almost logistically impossible to find time to put in the work for the major and class scheduling as well as the 40 hrs for football

Ya I must admit this is one of those weird recruiting episodes where a bunch of people are confident about different things and we probably won't come out on top.
hope I am wrong

Which flies in the opposite direction of what other connected folks have said.
Nobody knows anything anymore.

This was posted on the Bama board about Kirby's in home with Dean, I frankly don't know anything about the poster or what sources he has.
Thanks for the info, but it's always hard for me to take comments like this seriously. A lot of people like to pass around info as if they have inside knowledge and most simply don't. Americus has as good a track record as anyone. It just seems like nobody knows what the kid is doing other than deciding between Bama and us. Hopefully he chooses us. If we can't steal Dean away from Bama, hopefully we can steal Sanders.

Jadon Haselwood scores game winning TD with 4 seconds on clock for Cedar Shoals to win the 3A State Championship 14-13 over Peach County.

This wouldn't be the first time he's misjudged UGA's position with a recruit over the past couple years.
Are you referring to Nadab Joseph?

Not specifically. It's just been a fairly constant "UGA is behind" until the moment of truth, and then "they came back late in the process." Gibbs, Cox, Beal, Quay Walker, etc.
I think he gets good info but don't get the sense he has a great feel for UGA specifically.

Jake Rowe posted something along the lines of "when Tim Watts and Rusty are both leaning the same way, it's cause to listen". Unless UGA 247 mods are trying to give a head fake, and not sure they do that, doesn't sound very positive.

As I’ve posted in another thread, I normally trust Rusty implicitly but in this case I think he’s going on gut feeling and confidence in an out of state source. Given that this is running in the exact opposite direction of numerous people who have proven over the years to have legitimate connections within the program, I’m inclined to trust the people who are getting a read from Nakobe himself as opposed to the people surrounding Nakobe and talking to reporters.
