Last rankings out for 247. Seems like a majority of our recruits had downward revisions other than Jamaree

No MAJOR moves. Cade Mayes and James Cook dropped by 20 or so spots.

And they justified Trevor Lawrence staying number 1 by basically saying ignore all of the poor play and turnovers....he had a good last drive.

Cook had two scores and Cox had two sacks, guess they're practice week was not as good as some others.

Guessing 247 are the only ones that had released their final rankings so far

Barton basically hinted he would drop because they said he doesn't run inside or like contact.

It gets dumber... He's rated as a fricking APB (as in RB/Receiver hybrid expectations)... I wasn't aware that it was a primary role for an APB to run inside or actively seek out contact.

Cade Mays has been a 5 star on rivals.
James Cook has a 5 star on rivals
Channing Tindall a 5 star on 247
Adam Anderson 5 star on 247 and Rivals
Justin Fields 5 star on 247 and Rivals
Zamir White 5 star on 247 and Rivals.
Brenton Cox has a 5 star on rivals or did at one time.
I belive Trey Hill has a 5 star on one of the sites. Could be wrong.


In the mix for

Tyson Cambell - 5 star on 247
and
Quay Walker - 5 star on 247

And it's crazy that Cook is supposed to be just a junior but reclassified to graduate in 2018, kinda like that QB did that's going to USC.

All that really matters is the 247 composite

Fields is a 5 star
White is a 5 star
Anderson is a 5 star
Cox is a 5 star
Mays is a 5 star
Sayler is a 5 star
Cook is a very high 4 star (few spots outside 5*)
Hill is a very high 4 star (few spots outside 5*)

Considering Hill is the lowest rated player on the list at 41st best player in the nation, there is plenty of reason to be excited. Good chance to sign atleast one more five star.

Doesn't really bother me to see some of the players drop. Not really sure how Cook's was warranted, but I can understand Mays' drop. Hopefully it motivates them. The only thing that would be dumb would be them dropping players to try and create more interest on February 2nd instead of us already having the #1 class locked up, but I don't think that's the case.

eta: Also think they made a fair point with Lawrence and Fields. If Fields would have played in the UA game and looked good he could have taken over the #1 spot. Hard to reward someone for not playing in a game...
