The NSFW gifs/images are perfect celebration when we get a commit. But just randomly throwing them into the thread is a distraction....albeit a nice one. Let's save them when the next recruit jumps on the Kirby train.

As stated... it got out of hand, take it to another thread... there is literally nothing stopping you from it.

quote:

1-0 come at me bro

... elsewhere.

I say this knowing full well that I have led us astray... it is now my dawg duty ( he said duty) to get this thing back on track...

Likely going to have to RA future posts... don't wanna stop the party, just relocate it guys... babe threads should be welcomed so long as they are in their own OT - NSFW titled topic. (Assuming this is Lew's take, but will defer to "The Man"®.)

Babe threads are good with me as long as they're labeled "NSFW" and the Recruiting Thread is left alone.

Mentioned earlier on recruiting board, but Hill is back leaning our way.

If we get Hill and Salyer, our OL is bout to be STACKED.

Oh yeah, we have Zeus, Swift, Herrien and Holyfield (and possibly Cook) to run behind them.

Winning....the last 10 years half the best players in Georgia went to Alabama because it was easier.....the winning and roster guaranteed success. Now players like him that would normally leave the state have to consider Georgia is now a contender and if they want to get on the train or deal with us.

I mentioned it on the Recruiting Board, but I noticed we picked up another CB for UGA on Trey Hill in the last couple days.

Who thinks we pull an over 300 score for the class with 247 before this is all over?

Looking like its possible if we pull in people we lead heavily for in CB's, and also flip one that appears likely. Add in a couple that we aren't even aware of to fill the class, and I see it happening. I don't recall UGA ever getting a 300.....I could be wrong on that though.

If we keep winning I think we absolutely do.

If we add Salyer, Hill, Campbell, Ford, Cook and Reese, that puts us right at 300.

If you play around with the 247 calculator, there is a good chance for it if all we did is pull guys that have been circulated as high probabilities and zero attrition from current commits.

Example finish:

quote:

Jamaree Salyer
Trey Hill
KJ Henry
James Cook
Luke Ford
Otis Reese
Trevor Trout

+2 OL
+2 LB (inside/outside)
+1 RB
+1 TE
+1 DT
=7 + 17 current commits = 24, our supposed max class this year due to Marvin's blue shirt (maybe room for one more depending on how Wyatt can count)

That would put class at a 303.36, and it doesn't account for the likelihood that we would want to bring on at least one more CB, elite if possible (ie Tyson Campbell, Isaac Taylor-Stuart, etc)...

By no means is that any sort of definitive list of guys we will pull to finish this class, but it's certainly not a pipe dream either... and there are guys with similar ratings that we might look to pull if any of those are misses as well. Ultimately, we are "in it" with more highly rated guys than we can take...

Right now, I see our final class likely hovering right around 300 either way... whether it's above or below, it really won't matter much. Certainly a long way to go to get there, but our recruiting momentum is very real right now.

Probably more concerned with how much attrition to this staff do we suffer after this year, and what does Kirby have in mind to replace them with as needed. The upside to all the analyst and support staff positions, is we may have unheralded guys already on deck, and if not, Kirby has the dawgs as a destination job right now on both sides of the ball it would seem... so he should have roughly his pick of the litter, and I'm certain that recruiting will be a core competency he's looking for.

Looking like Bama might not be taking him, if true we'd be in a great spot.

Very good I think, especially if we can get him on campus. Coley and Tucker were down during the bye week to see him.

Not sure exactly where we finish score wise, but I think tops 3 class is very realistic.

Underrated benefit will be the tasty melts from VOLS and gators as they watch their "top class in the SEC" take a back seat. Again. Haha

Will be interesting to see our utilization of the TE once teams try and force the pass more. Thus far, most haven't been able to do it very long, so just not a lot of passing attempts to go around, but Nauta's targets have been there at least. Even if Bama is interested, I still like our chances, but definitely better if they're not in the mix. (Do they have another TE on the board higher or is the thought that they may not take a TE in this class?)

I hope so... Miami guy who is pretty plugged in seems to think he's been a silent to them for quite some time... silents of course can change, but would love to see this guy suit up in red and black.

Interesting. Haven't heard that and Dawgs seem to be making a move here.

If he is a silent to Miami, at least we know that Richt is more than capable of losing a high profile recruit late in the game. Haha

#1 JUCO TE just de-committed from Texas and is thought to now be Bama bound. Don't think they're taking more than one.

Picking up Ford would be nice. I didn't even think he was in the picture at this point. Glad to hear the news.
