Based on some Twitter chatter, it could be Adam Anderson.

I'm just reading between the lines, though. Take it with a grain of salt.

but it was said he was "In-state" talent, and then proceeded to use the hashtag #wolfpack

Have y'all heard anything about this 2-star DT from Pennsylvania named Christian Barmore? Alabama offered today and in the article it says Georgia offered recently as well. He was committed to Temple, but the influx of offers from power programs made him re-open his recruitment.

Christian Barmore Highlights

His Senior film so far is ridiculous.

Only thing we really know is he was excited about the SEC offers and he likes that we have a Philly connection (Swift, Mark Webb, Crompton).

Yep, apparently this is his first year playing football, hence why he's just now blowing up. His film is deserving of a far higher ranking than 2*, not many big men can move like that. Hopefully he remembers we were his first big offer.

We discussed it when Georgia offered but it's since been buried beneath the Justin Fields orgy and such. This is what I said after we offered along with a couple of other posters that seems to be unfolding.

Kirby is going to get the benefit of the doubt from me every single time, especially on that side of the ball. The guy does not waste scholarships so if he wants a DT this far from signing day, I expect that he sees something that he really really likes. I'd expect to see this kid start reeling in some more big time offers relatively soon,.

Think Anderson and Fields will both be in town. I'll try and find the list and put that in the OV post.

Just poked my head in on the Tennessee Recruiting thread. There haven't been any updates since 8/25...

Yeah, I posted about him the day after the offer I think. His footage from this year is *drastically* different than what was out there before apparently (haven't seen the old stuff). He is dominating inferior athletes and still needs coaching and a probable redshirt year, but I see him as easily a high 3* - mid 4* guy based on the film that I've watched. Not remotely surprised to see him opening up his recruitment. When we offered it was essentially Temple, some other small schools, and Oregon were the only others to offer at that point I believe.

So y'all are pretty bullish on Barmore then?

I gotta give Kirby credit for unearthing this gem.

I dunno about everyone, but when I saw his tape, I sure was.

Yeah... certainly someone on our staff was puttin' in work. Oregon offered back in July, which was before his Sr footage came out... definitely keeping him on my radar for the RMD this year :)

He's updated on my spreadsheet: LINK

DOT commented earlier that he'll be updating. The first page info is not updated much more often than once a month.

He is big and fast. But, honestly it looked like he was very raw, and beat smaller, weaker competition. His mechanics seemed off....or raw. That's not to say he can't improve and be great. The coaches at all these schools that are taking notice know a whole lot more than me. That's just what i saw.

ETA
That said, somebody else said he would probably need a red shirt, and I agree with that. I would not be surprised if he took a red shirt, then did not start until his RSJunior year.

Also me. And yeah, I don't think he's a guaranteed "gonna start early" kinda guy, but I think if we take 3 DTs, say one of either Trout/Cooper/Sandidge and couple that with Wyatt and Barmore, that would be a haul given that we took in zero last year due to Wyatt failing to qualify.

If we only have space for 2, then would have a hard time turning away any of the previously listed DTs and in which case, someone's going to get a good pick up there in him.

I was thinking it was you, but wasn't sure when I was typing it.

I agree with you, so don't get me wrong. I am just not quite as high on him, but that could be more a statement of my assessments ability than anything else. He has a long way to go. he was playing way too high for me, and relied almost exclusively on his size and speed and not enough on technique. There is potential there, but it will take a long time to get that potential out of him. He would be depth for 3 years minimum in my opinion. (Maybe 4)

I know at one point a while back we were still trying to push for Brenton Cox. Haven't heard anything in quite a while. Was that a lost cause? Did we cool it?
