That's USA today's recruiting expenses from 2009-2013. You might be referring to 2013, which is only one of those 5 seasons.

Damn, Bama and AU spend almost twice what we do. Imagine if we ramped up our spending. We could start landing top 5 classes instead of top 10.

Auburn spent 4.7, bama spent 4.5, Uga spent 3.1.

Could be I tried to post the link, but honestly didnt know how to. I do think we all agree the OL has been a weak link on O for a while. Im excited about our staffs focus on the line.

doesn't take a ton of money to ID the best OL. Only isolated diamonds in the rough would be hard to find, but I don't think missing on the 2 and 3 stars was our issue. It was the high profile guys that we clearly struggled with.

Pretty much this. For the most part the OL problems were two fold. 1) We were typically late to offer guys. So either we were shite at talent evaluation (for OL) or more likely it stemmed from Richt's tendency to not offer young guys, instead waiting until they had more proven success. Unfortunately, OL is one of those positions where even more than usual, relationships matter, and duration is important as well. 2) I've posted the link a few times, but in the second half of Richt's tenure, we flat out brought in fewer OL players. It's still a numbers game, so missing on the top tier hurts, and if you're going to do that, you've got to grab more, not less and then develop week. Friend actually developed players pretty well IMO, but seemed to struggle bringing in the elite talent.

I'm a little surprised Auburn spend more than us and Alabama.

Seems lie a pretty sharp kid. When asked questions he responded immediately and gave thoughtful, in depth answers.

I was comparing the last season listed where both Bama and AU spent around 1 million and we were at .55 or so.

Jacoby Stevens gave an interview today that basically makes it look like a near certainty that he's coming here.

I wouldn't go that far, but it certainly sounded promising.

Sounds like a corn-fed country boy. Granted, Cleveland was bigger at the same point, wasn't he?

i dont know what Cleveland was at that point, but you never can tell if a kid is done growin or not.

Jake Rowe says his hands are massive, so maybe he's got some growing left.

Jake also said he seems built similiarly to Mitch Hyatt, Clemson's stud LT.

Trevor Lawrence? He visited today according to 247. It would be amazing if all three of these top QBs wanted to play for UGA and push each other to excel.

I dream of a QB room that rivals Miami's 1982 group of Jim Kelly, Bernie Kosar and Vinny Testaverde.

A&M picked up an RB commit today and apparently Toneil missed their big recruiting shindig today.

A&M mods on 247 said he lay his spot in their class and CB to the Dawgs.

Want Swift and Akers, but think we get Soft and Carter. I would take it.
