In fairness, that comment could apply to anyone outside of Bama. They are a dynasty, and most recruits realize this so I don’t think it was a direct shot at UGA.

I seem to recall Jabari Davis making a similar comment years ago when he committed to UT over us. The Vols went on to never beat us while he played for them.

But Davis has been committed to Bama for some time.

My bad. You're right. Last I looked at his profile he was showing 100% crystal balled to Bama and thought it was saying he had committed. DOH!

I think this is a direct shot at the Richt era of winning a lot of games but not winning important games.

Wow. That's quite the nail in the coffin if true. Gonna be a hell of a player.

She also went on to say that she knows he can win at both programs. But I think she was covering up for that comment. It's true we aren't perceived as an elite sec team. But Kirby can get us there

Yes, but ballers like her kid buying in will get us there faster.

Wow

That's when Kirby responded with "we're building a winning tradition at UGA, and I'll be here for your son's entire college career. You can't say the same about older coaches who might be at the end of their college career and who might be ready to move on to the NFL".

M'am, with all due respect, I will win one at UGA before that old midget is forced out at Bama.

Man I can't remember a signing day with so much left on the table for UGA. I am cautiously optimistic, but lets face it, these things usually don't end well for us.

Im saying we finish up with
Mecole
Marshal
Price
and Carter

That puts at 20...do we throw out some trash offers?

Auburn board is saying they "silently" pulled Marshall's offer. If true, he would definitely be ours. (I think we all felt he was ours, anyway....but nice to hear, nonetheless.)

If we somehow pulled brown and Wilson that would be sweet, too. Something keeps telling me in the back of my mind that Brown is trolling everybody and he is coming here.....but my head keeps saying it's Auburn.

How does one "silently" pull an offer, iyo? Schools cannot publicly comment on recruits, so it is not like they could announce it, and you would think they would have to tell Marshall, no? Just seems like they are simply assuaging their collective ego in case he flips

There is a textbook definition of Stockholm Syndrome when it comes to Dawg fans and the University, with respect to NSD, thanks to the Right Reverend's closing practices. I think Kirby's done amazing job having us in it for 4-5* guys that never would've sniffed Athens otherwise. Next year at this time, the champagne will flow.

All signs pointing to us closing with:

Hardman
Carter
Marshall
Price
And barring exceptional SAT scores, Robertson.

Still in the mix to flip Tyler Simmons.

You tell Marshall that it's probably best for both parties if he went a different direction and keep that conversation out of the media.

It's likely that this happened imo. He's put them through the ringer.
