Snoops son doesn't smoke. Espn had a little mini series on him. He wants out of his father's shadow. Really intelligent kid.

Absolutely. I'm happy for him to get the offer. He already seems like a DGD and I hope he becomes a major contributor.

Yea I'm sure next thing he was going to do was call, and he most definitely was going to do it before the LOI was sent in. Just like he did with the other defensive recruits that signed

This is the problem most people have with an early signing period. It would have to be well before a lot of coaches left, NFL finished, etc etc.

The NCAA should allow a transfer of LOI in circumstances where coordinators leave too, and not just for head coaches

Yes it does. We dont need a kid like Van Jefferson on our team.

You're basing this all off of him being confused?

Dude you don't know how to run a football program. History88 has been there and done that. We should all relish the opportunity to learn from him.

For real though - when we lose Van Jefferson, ignorant people say good riddance and we don't need a kid like him. But when we get someone to flip to us at the end - the same people say he made the right choice and welcome him with open arms.

The guys who do the hat switch bother me more than the ones who are confused. I think it is disrespectful.

I said I didn't want him before he committed. Cheers to your irrational and sarcastic thoughts.

history88, I've been meaning to talk to you about that. You should find yourself a safehouse or a relative close by. Lay low for a while, because you're probably wanted to murder.

One kid a year or two ago picked up a hat, started to put it on, then emphatically threw it on the ground and picked up another one. I thought it was wildly disrespectful to a coach and program that had spent a lot of time, energy, and money recruiting him.

I agree in principle. If they do the early signing period this upcoming year, which it sounds like they will, they should have something where if there is a direct coaching change the kid should be able to pull back and commit at the regular signing period to wherever he wants. Most kids that will sign their NLIs in December will be EEs though so it might not matter much. December being the date that they've stated is the most likely. I think it will be good though as kids can put their $$ where their mouth is and sign early if they are so "100% committed".

FWIW Chad Simmons now says Roquan is not considered a UCLA commit and it's between UGA and TAMU. So I expect with
the comments Roquan made he will be going to Texas. He just seems to want to leave realllllly bad so...

While I definitely agree with you and find it immature and disrespectful in many circumstances (not all, because who knows.. maybe the coach was being a douchebag ie Todd Grantham or Bobby Petrino) I will always love this:

Yea, he would have committed and signed with us if he wanted to go to UGA. Giving the in state school its props before bolting.

Similar to the Brown kid in basketball. Showing the in state schools some love for recruiting him hard, and then will bolt to KY or wherever.

I do like that the Criminoles and that super-sleazy Jimbo started calling him and trying to recruit him and he said he doesn't like Florida State hahahaha. Best thing I could've read

I really think people are reading to much into those comments yesterday. He said he was legitimately torn between UCLA and Georgia specifically, which is why he wanted to wait a few hours to sign.

"Doing something different" in LA is a hell of a lot different than doing something different in College Station or Ann Arbor.

Maybe I'm wrong.
