That's great news for us..it seems Butchy is getting too big for his britches and starting to burn some bridges. We need to jump in the ear of any UT Offensive player we might have wanted ASAP!!!

If that's the case, full court press on Preston Williams ASAP. If we lose Godwin and/or Slayton, we'll need Preston in the fold. WR class would be pathetic without them.

Any clues as to a current player we might be losing?

It's hard for ordinary fans to know how our coaches feel about that. Sometimes bridges get burned. I guess we'll find out because Tennessee's offensive recruits must have some doubts right now.

I've read that OSU is going hard after Briscoe, possibly because one of their CB recruits is looking around.

Edit. I just realized this was not about a recruit, so my response is not applicable.

This is apparently something about a guy already on campus. Can't seem to find it on any other site so maybe it's nothing.

Yeah, I just reread your post. There are candidates at just about every position who might feel buried on the depth chart. I'd hate to lose a QB unless we have a walk-on who can play well enough to be a credible fallback 3rd string guy.

That may be the thing Dallas. I remember it was something along those lines as to why he wasn't at the bowl.

I have zero to go on, was just a name I'm throwing out there for speculation.

Yea Richt said his suspension wasn't an academic eligibility issue.

Yall are panicking over the WR receiver situation, but the name no one is mentioning is Chigbu. Do yall not think he can be a contributor for this team?

Happy to have him, but Slayton and Godwin are better imo. Not trying to field a team of just "contributors." Guys like Chigbu are crucial, but you need playmakers like Godwin and Slayton.

We need a guy like AJ Green who can come in and contribute from day one. Been a long time since we've had that at WR, it feels like.

Not to mention we're losing 3 of our top 4 WR's in terms of yardage from 2014. We'll need some of the freshmen to contribute in 2015. In a case like that, it's best to sign several. It increases the chance you'll find a couple of immediate contributors.

Mitchell did. He's underrated by our fans imo
