re: I am concerned about Jacob Eason's arm

I think there's something to this. Why do we keep seeing this weird sidearm throwing motion?

I lived in Creswell 4 years ago and it was a blast. Best location on campus for freshmen, and definitely the best in terms of socializing and meeting new friends. My friends who lived in areas other than the high rises during freshan year really regretted it. It may not be the most luxurious but it's really not that bad either. The ac units in Creswell are a huge plus, and living there makes the most sense if you don't have a car. Apartment style dorms such as ecv really take away from the experience in my opinion because people tend to be a lot less social, but it's not a bad option for upperclassmen looking to live on campus who already have a group of friends.

I believe that Bauta is our best option. He may not be the most gifted of the three when it comes to throwing the ball, but he is the best athlete who knows the system and comes across as the best team leader of the three. I think he's got grit and the team would follow him.
re: How good were UGA's RB's & OL last year??
Posted by skipjack_dawg on 8/11/15 at 9:06 am
That's impressive. This is obviously attributable to our big boys but also our running back's vision to find the hole and their quickness to get there. For us to be contenders the line is going to have to replicate that success, but with the talent and experience coming back we have the chance to be even better. In a year in which qb production is a huge question mark and we lack returning consistently productive receivers (nothing against MM26 but with his injury history...), O-line play is going to be critical.

I am far from ready to buy into the hype on this dude. The fact we might be starting a transfer from an ACC doormat in his first season with the team should be worrying.

I think that we win but are unimpressive in our first 3-4 games. Possibly a loss to the gamecocks. Bryce Ramsey is the starter but is shaky at best. Richt sticks with Ramsey going into bama week and we lose. Over the next week Faton Bauta is installed as the starter, the team is rejuvenated and we pick up a big win at rocky top. We roll through the rest of our schedule with maybe one loss the rest of the way. We go 11-1 or 10-2 with a berth into the SECCG in either scenario.

Anyone know where we stand with Charlie Woerner?

I will be in attendance at G-Day. Looking forward to finding out which of our QB's are competitors.

Make sure you go into the theatre and watch the video that was titled Gameday I think and it's on the second floor. Lots of dawg representation. Also spend some time playing with the huge touch screen wall.

I really have no complaints about charter. Some of my friends got AT$T for their house and they hate it.

I met Hegedus over spring break. He seemed like a good guy and I'm a fan now. It really speaks to the potential of our team that we have so many candidates for the "breakout player" label.

This 100%. However, as bad as Rocky Top is, that shite is crazy loud. It literally shakes the stadium. It is more of a college feel than Nashville.
This is true. I went last year and the stadium wasn't even full, but when they had us on the ropes it was at least as loud as I have heard Sanford get and I got the shaking sensation too. I love Sanford but its design really does limit noise retention... :roll eyes:
Athens as a town beats the hell outa Knoxville as a city though.

Obviously not the question but the hell hole that is Columbia has got to be the worst. I have never more strongly wanted to leave a place than after our loss there this year.

I agree. If it really came down to UCLA and UGA, and this thing with the coordinator was enough to push him away from the Bruins, then I don't see why he wouldn't have pulled the trigger for the good guys unless his heart was set on going elsewhere. There's really nothing Richt or anyone can do about it if that's the case and I wouldn't call it an "embarrassment". It just is what it is.

Sitting in class. Anyone care to update on the Roquan announcement?

I'm Indifferent about whether we get Buchanon or not. I don't see him ever starting over Isaiah Wynn, Dyshon Sims, Jake Edwards, Sam Madden, Sage Hardin, Pat Allen if we get him, or DeVondre Seymour if he ever gets to campus. Not to mention big Ben and whoever else we bring in next year.

Some kids just have a desire to see a different part of the country. Can't fault them for that.
This is so true. Neither of my parents went to college at a big time football school, so if I had been a recruit I wouldn't have felt any special loyalty to the programs in my home state. Moving to a different part of the country has been a great experience for me and I can't fault the kid if it turns out that he wants to do the same. Maybe the visit out there opened his eyes to a school and the west-coast lifestyle that really made him feel at home. Obviously losing him would hurt a lot, but I wouldn't go so far as to say its an embarrassment because its not like he was lost to one of our hated rivals. If this late game audible was to an Auburn or Alabama, that would be a different story.
