I definitely see Jenkins and Mitchell staying. Mitchell probably wouldn't be graded higher than a 5th round pick and he has the chance to be THE guy next year in our passing game. Floyd's stock has dropped over the last month so I could definitely see him staying as well. I thought he was for sure gone until the last four games.

Given the high price tag that NFL teams will spend on premier pass rushing talent and how highly they'll draft based solely on potential (Dion Jordan and Ziggy Ansah come to mind), it'll be hard to keep Floyd and maybe Jenkins around.

I wish what you said weren't true, but am afraid that we may lose him.

I'm already assuming he's gone. Pass rushers are like runningbacks, they should leave for the draft while their stock is high. They're more likely to reach their full potential when they get to the NFL and gain weight in an NFL...ahem, "weight training"...program. JJ Watt was a very good player at Wisconsin, but he's dominating like no defensive player I have ever seen right now.

ETA: Mike Smith would take a bus to NYC and blow Roger Goodell if that let him get Floyd on the roster in time for the Monday Night massacre in Green Bay.

Rumor from multiple folks is that Floyd, Jenkins, and Mitchell are staying.

How solid is that info? Jenkins and Mitchell I can believe pretty easily, but Floyd coming back would be like Christmas come early.

Jake Rowe said he'd heard that Jenkins and Mitchell were very likely to return, and Floyd was closer to 50/50

Everyone is higher on Floyd, but honestly I believe Jenkins is the better and more complete linebacker.

I still expect Floyd to leave, I'm just not nearly as sure as I was a month ago. I would say it's changed from 95% to 60% that he goes IMO. I'm sure he'll have at least a couple of 1st round grades though and that is really hard to pass up.

Floyd has a kid to think about but he'd also be better served to notch another year under his belt. Great talent but has a lot left to be desired in certain aspects of his game.

If Chuma to USCreal is a done deal, then why is he still entertaining UGA coaches?

Because we're not just battling the USCw coaches for Chuma...

Also has a lot to do with keeping up appearances. McEachren has some big time recruits these next few classes and we need to exert our authority. Chuma likely going out West and Rochester likely ending up in Auburn or at FSU next year. Beyond that, we need to shut it down.

Chuma's momma reportedly moving to Cali. Done Deal, USCw boosters win.
