Again, with K9 on this. I mean I have met the kid and other family members which shouldn't mean diddly shite but I just dunno if he has what it takes to lead a program like Georgia. And I have been leery since people were nutting themselves when he came from Camden where they ran the wing t.

Stuff his family was saying was kind of disparaging to Hutson and it sounds like they think they're wasting their time with Mason and it should be Ramsey's show to run. I had my thoughts before this but that left a sour taste in my mouth.

ETA: K9, it's odd how much we agree on this.

I need to stop bullshittin again & get to the point... How much does UGA QB play affect its running game?

In it's current form, a lot. You could make the offense more run heavy though. It would be less effective, but if you have poor QB play, the offense will be less productive pretty much by default

Not saying you're necessarily off base, but family members are pretty much always like that in college sports. They're used to their son being the star and don't understand why he has to wait his turn now.

Thank you for your thoughts, DGD. I'm just another hater here but I wanna know what's going on and I will return the favor one day.. kinda pulling for Jacob Park cuz I think he's got heart even though he's a dipshit. We'll see.

Totally get that but from what I saw and heard from 'em all is that's the mindset. Saying shite like Ramsey kicks his arse in practice all the time blah blah. And everyone also gives Park shite for being a punk IRL but, I mean, I haven't seen a ton of difference between the two.

Still, what I think of them outside of playing should have no bearing, you're right. I just don't have a good feeling about the guy and that should mean little to yall. I just feel it and that's why I was completely bummed out on missing Watson and why this Eason guy yall told me about has me giddy.

I'd love nothing more than for Ramsey to shut my punk arse up, though.

I know sthga is gonna come in here later and lambast me cause he's a good Camden fan, and he should too, but they really rubbed me the wrong way a few times.

Plenty of kids have played for UGA that I have thought were complete and total assholes. But I want them to kick all kinds of arse because all that matters is Georgia. Park is no different.

Definitely true. I just meant that if all else is equal, the offense with a good QB will be better than the one with the bad QB

I get what you're saying and agree with you about most things, but I disagree about this. He may have had a shitty attitude, but I don't think that shitty attitude really matters once he gets on the field as long as he works hard, which he does by all accounts.

I've known a lot of total shite stains who turned out to be really fricking good at sports. You can say it's different for QBs (and it sort of is), but as long as his teammates recognize that that player gives them the best chance to win, they tend to be pretty forgiving of being a douche.

Totally get that. Like I said, I have just had a bad gut feeling before I even met them. That other stuff is just that, stuff, that really hasn't given me faith in him.

Oh yea, plenty of douches do well. Our last 2 good QBs were douches. What I fear is how raw he is and again, completely unprofessional opinion, I just dunno if he's gonna be the QB that people built him up to be.

If I had my way in a few years we'll have someone dig up these quotes and call me out as Ramsey leads Georgia to a national title.

ETA: Also, while my fire CMR bus is currently in neutral I still have plenty of negadawg coursing through my veins

Regardless, I hope we get Eason whether we need him in 2016 or not. He looks like a HS version of Tom Brady

Basically, he's a 6'5" sophomore with a howitzer on his right shoulder running what appears to be a fairly complex passing scheme. The competition looks pretty bad, but it is what it is.

Basketball:

UCONN just picked up the top PG in the nation. This is good news for UGA since local PG William Jackson is currently committed to the Huskies. UGA is back in the mix. Jackson is a top 50 player

Also, SF Noah Dickerson de-committed from Georgetown tonight. He relocated to Florida for his senior year but is originally from Atlanta. He also played AAU for the Georgia Stars.

New Assistant Yasir Rosemond is making serious strides in Atlanta AAU. He is all over the Georgia Stars squad. This could end up being the best class in UGA history thanks to Rosemond

Eta: on my phone so excuse my engrish

hell yeah. I've been a pretty outspoken critic of Fox, but it looks like he crushed it with the Rosemond hire

Hell yes. Thanks for the info, Glory!

Really need this b-ball recruiting class to come through like it possibly could. A NCAA tournament type year in 13-14 with a stellar class pulled in by Fox could get the ball rolling for real.

Whatever, stockpile 'em man. Who's the main competition?

Fox will have us in gthe tourney this year, no doubt. That momentum plus a good recruiting class would be yuge.

Would LOVE to see Fox turn it around.

And my worries about Ramsey have nothing to do with his physical talent and everything to do with the space between the ears. I have yet to see him play consistently without committing horrid, horrid turnovers. That is death in any offense, and especially in CMR's.

If he doesn't cure that (and I hope he will, A. Murray kind of looked the same way until he became the full time starter), any QB that can hand off cleanly will be a better choice.
