I'm thinking this game might be similar to the 2014 clemson game: Tight in the first half (game was 21-21 at half time, but I'm thinking more like 20-14 dawgs in the first half), then dawgs put the beat down in the 2nd half (Clemson didn't score in the 2nd half while we scored 21). Final: Dawgs 40 Leprechauns 20.

I remember thinking we were the best team in the country after that game. It was a very fun one

Yeah, and then South Carolina happened.

You could also say the same forAuburn in 2007

Blackout game.
Atmosphere.
Close at half.
Wide margin of victory at the end

We beat 4 ranked teams by an average of 29 pts and lost to 2 unranked teams (UF,SC)

If that doesn't sum up CMR's career at UGA don't know what does.

Our O-line was also dominant that year but completely underperformed in '15.Shows you how good/valuable David Andrews was.

That 2014 team was really, really good. Just had 2 WTF losses. Allowing Treon Harris to dominate us in Jax was an absolute embarrassment. The Clemson game was awesome though...definitely one of the best home games we had while I attended UGA!

i will never get over the fricking horrible intentional grounding call that cost us the game in columbia.

hutson did the absolute right thing and the ball got tipped and they somehow call intentional grounding. ridiculous.

I had successfully burned most of 2014 out of my memory, until I read this thread :(

I went to that game. Man it was hot. I remember thinking as well after that game we had a shot to go all the way. The Florida game was awful. Then the unforgivable OT loss to Tech after the ill advised pooch kick.

It is what NFL QBs did all of the time back then.
Unfortunately, I dont think college refs watch football. Eyesight is too poor

Here's where Georgia ranked in the following categories at the end of the 2014 season...

Scoring: #1
Rushing: #1
Yards per play: #1
Turnover margin: #1
Pass efficiency: #2 (#1 East)
Pass efficiency defense: #2 (#1 East)
Scoring defense: #5 (#1 East)

This was one of Richt's most dominant and opportunistic teams of his coaching career yet they still somehow lost 3 games. Ugh.

The right thing would have been to throw it where it cant be tipped, which he didnt do.

I was telling my dad the same thing today; going to be tight until the 4th quarter when the dam breaks and we score a couple cheap TD's to seal a victory. Clemson in 2014 was a perfect example of this.

i could be wrong but wasnt he throwing it at the feet of a running back? it's pretty much exactly the right move there instead of taking the sack or risking actual intentional grounding

We’re all forgetting the other part of this equation. We still had Gurley. Run the damn ball Bobo. Don’t trust your noodle armed qb
