Yeah he has an opportunity to make an immediate impact in the return game, I think. Just hold on to the damned ball...

I'm really glad to see it work out for Rico. It didn't look like it would for a while.

It's nice to see things turn up positive in cases like that. I just think of poor Chester Brown the 2012 OL kid who had to decommit and move out of state because of GA's new immigration law. Kid had a massive Power G tattoo on his arm and everything. He ended up at UCF, I believe, but I don't know how he's done there.

They turned him into a DT. Not sure about how much success he's had. That was a tough situation

Don't get me wrong I like Rico Johnson and all but the oppostion didn't give the KRs a chance to return the ball all season.

Johnson is gonna have to find other places to contribute. Everybody had a power kicker kicking it off vs. UGA it seemed.

He is fast, but I would like to see some taller, stronger, fast athletes. We need those players who have all the attributes to take us to the next level of winning

Hands and route running can be taught.

Route running, yes. Hands? No. You either have soft hands or hands of stone. You RARELY see a WR that chronically drops passes turn into a good receiver. Or at least one with reliable hands. It just doesn't happen very often. You might find one or two along the way, but not often.

Yeah, we've really been hurting for athletes over the years

I should clarify, I mean at the DB position specifically. I am a fan of Pruitts logic behind tall/fast DBs. Otherwise we get pushed around at the line and have no advantage against the taller receivers (a la Missouri this years).

Rico will play receiver, but yeah I see what you're saying. Fenteng should help with that tremendously, and Parrish is just a baller so he'll be fine.

Word on Rico is he was off the recruiting radar. Camped at UGA and went off. Received an offer on the spot. Coaches were raving and thought he'd be unsung gem of the class. Of course he didn't come in with that class. Don't know what transpired since then. I'll take him and his 4.2something speed!

Last year after the NCAA nixed some online credits, he didn't qualify. I think he went prep rather than Juco this year, and I pretty sure all the academics are in order. He is super fast and was a very good return man for his high school if I recall. He is also not particularly small- Though he is listed at 5'10", Rusty Mansell seems to think he is closer to 6' so many be wasn't finished growing

Emerging top target at TE in 2015 is Chris Clark from Avon Old Farms, CT. 3 star now, but 247 analysts have commented that he's probably going to be one of the top TEs in the country in this class. Clark has already said that Georgia will be tough to beat.

I am guessing that UGA will take at least 2 TEs in next class.

Yeah probably, but those schools also recruit a good bit.
