cGreat news on Tunsil. Looks like we have 2 (Tunsil and Toby Johnson) of the big 5 (Tunsil, Johnson, Adams, Kamara and Foster) wrapped up.
As for Deshaun Watson, I like our chances considering he grew up a UGA fan. Also, look at ratio of guys that committed, at some point in time, to clemson, to those who will sign. Not too worried about him having a soft verbal to the tiggers. If we want him, I think we'll get him.
Good stuff, Swin. I haven't read anything good on Kamara recently. I am hoping he is just playing the game or that our coaches can pull a rabbit on next weekends visit.
You are right on Watson. I really like where we stand with him as well. Clemson commits seem to get reeled in when they are on their campus, but once a commit gets a view of a real school, they start changing their minds on the commitment status.

From a guy on AFF, talkin' about Watson...
quote:
He's been a UGA fan forever and the way CMR offered it on a one on one with him made it special for him. They had dinner together as well. Bobo told him he is recruiting him directly even though N. GA is not his area. Finally, we've told him that he's the one we want and if he commits, we won't take another QB. We offered late but did a lot of things to show him he is special (which I think he is).

I keep hearing these rumors about Kamara but haven't seen one concrete thing about him favoring bama... yet. I'm still convinced it will come down to official visits.

I know everyone was busy today watching the game and another heart breaker in the dome. Just wondering if there was any new news today

Not a thing. Foster tweeted he won't talk to the media, Kamara isn't talking, Adams isn't talking and Tunsil I think we can all safely assume is a UGA commit after this weekend.
Next weekend is going to be the most-telling until NSD

Sounds good
I take it that both Foster and Kamara are visiting next weekend?

Foster, Kamara, and Adams are on campus with a BUNCH of UGA commits.

Plus Matthew Thomas, which may not mean anything but who knows
Posted on 1/20/13 at 9:10 pm to tylerdurden24
Isn't Thomas the next week?
Posted on 1/20/13 at 9:17 pm to ugastudent
Yeah Thomas is the next weekend

It's alright. Thomas is not particularly close to all those guys, so you might as well spread out the visits of the elite guys. UGA would also need to pull a stunning upset to get him, so having the last visit is absolutely imperative.
Basically, UGA has to hope that the visit just blows him away, and he signs with UGA from his "visit high" so to speak.

“The next official visit is crucial because Georgia is also high on my list,” Kamara said. “So Georgia has to answer the questions I have and I have to be able to be comfortable in Athens and around the staff and players.”
Is it just me reading too much into the tone of that, or is AK sounding unnecessarily combative? It would seem that Saban & Co. have filled his head with all sorts of shite and he's being adversarial.

I wouldn't say he was combative. He has high standards that he has set that each school has to meet in order to obtain his athletic services. I like that he is doing his do diligence.
Aside from that, he also gave at least 5 interviews of how the visit went to Bama and he wasn't even back to Norcross yet.(And that is only counting the UGA sites that talked to him.) I would never look too much into an interview that a recruit gives, and give the athlete the benefit of the doubt. I am sure he is exhausted and tired of answering the same questions over and over again.
