but we need to get a bona fide big man in this class.
Amen brother. Sorry, I couldn't help myself. Count me in as one that hopes that Fox will be at UGA for a long, long time.
I've been waiting for UGA to be consistently good in basketball for a long time. I know it can happen, just afraid that it never will.
First off, UGA had no basketball program prior to Hugh Durham. They did, but they didn't. He was given a chance, but never could make it consistently. Tubby had a chance. I think Dooley regrets not trying to keep Tubby after UK called. Not saying he would have stayed, but he never even countered. Then, makes the bonehead move with Jirsa. Then Adams hires his good buddy Harrick, a good coach, but had a lot of baggage. This backfires, and in typical UGA fashion, they over react and hire Felton to completely clean house, and hamstrings us for another few years.
Fox can make this work, but he has to be supported by the proper individuals. I'm not convinced that he is. McGarity seems like he is willing, I just don't believe the money boosters are, and never will be.

When Henry commits to Bama all bets are off with Tunsil

meh. I've heard it both ways. I don't think that's going to have as big of an impact as people think.

Yeah I mean UGA made its seemingly biggest move with Tunsil after Henry had decommitted. Or at least when Henry was obviously wavering. They have said that they would "like" to play together, but I'm not sure that means they're a package deal.

Not true. Tunsil will be a Dawg barring anything crazy (Coaches being fired, money being dished out, etc.)

I believe the "package deals" we hear about are about new friends who are new to the recruiting game and it sounds like a good idea at first. But at the end of the day, these guys will go where it's best for them. Yes, package deals do happen, but the heresay is typically not worth paying attention to.

He didn't. There are no leaks in the real flagship, remember?

And it may happen, I don't know.
But to think that Tunsil goes to Bama just because of Henry is laughable to me.

This money being dished out thing is the key (see Avery Young)

Seems like Tunsil has a much stronger support system than Young, though. Hence Tray Matthews isn't going to fall for the typical underhanded recruiting BS (because his parents won't let him fall for it)

Don't let TheSandman see this.

not only will TM's parents not let him fall for it......a rumor gaining steam is that his parents are spilling beans to the NCAA on some Foster info...this was posted on BOL a few days ago

Just my opinion, but just because Bucc posted this Foster info from BOL, doesn't automatically mean its about AU. Matthews knew Foster when he was committed to Alabama as well. They didn't just become friends when he committed to Auburn.

They are just paranoid Jstan
I was just relaying a post on BOL and several other posters backed the guys credibility as a teacher or counselor in the area or something been like a month so I don't exactly remember

I don't think you get how this works. It almost certainly means it's about AU.
