These kids should do a lot of rational things Namely frick Bama and commit to UGA

Rational would be play for a contender, non rational is play at UGA.

What are you guys hearing about East MS CC DB/S Justin Cox? I read UGA offered and he is visiting Athens soon.

I noticed y'all already have 5 secondary commitments.

I have seen that before in years past and did not fare well for UGA in the end. UGA was preseason top 10 in 2010 and 2011. Being a top 10 team does not make you a contender.

But fwiw worth last summer I placed a bet UGA would get to Atlanta and it did pay off very good for me.

Not too much talk about him. We already have 1 JUCO DB in Steven nelson. My guess is it's a contingency plan if for some reason Langley or Von bell don't work out for us. Same with the offer to LJ Moore out in Cali

Top 5 defense, stout offense, and a pussy schedule does though

Nope not reliable on this one it's a done deal to Bama after DM posted the lost this morning BOL Mods deleted meaning they know it sound like it will happen soon, and DM track record that I've seen is 100% with recruits whether it be to other schools or Bama, and Scout kicked him off because he scooped them too often on the MB, BOL is on the verge lol like deleting his post today

So it is Dixie Pride from scout? If so it was not because he scooped anyone. Dixie Pride claimed Crowell, Mitchell and several others were silents to Bama. Then he trolled the UGA scout board claiming Crowell had said things in which he couldn't produce a link for and was called out on it. If it is truly Dixie Pride he has missed on more so called locks than I can begin to remember.

That hasn’t prevented a slew of schools, namely Alabama and Florida, from pursuing the Georgia commit.
“Alabama and Florida have been recruiting me hard,” Ramsey said in an interview Monday night. “A lot of schools have, but my commitment is to go to Georgia, and that's where I will be in January.”

Ramsey had a lengthy videoconference with Tide coach Nick Saban in May. The Gators have been pursuing the signal caller as well – stepping up their attempts to lure him to Gainesville.

But the Elite 11 quarterback said he’s no longer interested in being recruited by anyone besides the Bulldogs.

“I am not planning on visiting any more colleges in the future,” Ramsey said. “My focus is on my commitments for the summer – the opening, Elite 11 and our wing-T camp – and winning a state title this fall with Camden as well as preparing to play in the SEC.”

Its no wonder Ramsey wants to focus on his high school team. While Camden is an astonishing 135-13 since 2001 and is considered a major threat to win the state title, it enters a new, more challenging region this season. Confronting the Wildcats in 2012 is no doubt the most daunting regular season in recent Camden history.

The three-time state champions have been place in rugged Region 1-AAAAAA, with Valdosta, Lowndes, Colquitt County, Coffee, Tift County and Brunswick. Schools in the new region have combined to win 34 state titles – nine coming since 1994.

As far as the future is concerned, Ramsey said he’s glad to be in what he view the capable hands of two quarterback developers.

“Mark Richt and Mike Bobo have a history of producing top quarterbacks,” Ramsey said.

Ramsey has a point. Consider that Richt has quite a history with quarterbacks: A quarterback who claimed the most all-time wins as he concluded his career (David Greene; Seattle Seahawks); a 2005 SEC champion (D.J. Shockley; Atlanta Falcons); a #1 NFL Draft pick (Matthew Stafford; Detroit Lions); and two Heisman Trophy winners while at Florida State (Chris Weinke and Charlie Ward). That’s not even mentioning current signal caller Aaron Murray, who broke a school record with 35 touchdowns in 2011.

Ramsey closed the conversation in matter of fact manner: “I am shutting things down.”

UA was out of it for Ramsey once Bateman and then McLeod commited. SO why even right a current article with UA in it sinec anyone that follows recruiting knows we are not even chasing him now.

By the way, Dixie Pride was banned from scout for starting pissing matches with other Bama fans but hey, at least he called them like he seen them. That is the most thin skinned sports forum on all the internet next to the ITAT and pretty much everyone has been banned from both, even a lot of their own fans.

Sorry wrong years. In 2008 UGA was #1 and finished 13. In 2009 you were 13 coming, was thinking higher, and finished unranked.

When Dixie wants to share his sources, then I'll take his word as rock solid. Until then, I'm going with two guys I know are rarely misinformed

That post wasn't directed at any Bama fans, it was just a general post meant for other Georgia fans in the UGA recruiting thread....

True, the Bama/Ramsey flirtation was short lived, but he's been solid to UGA for a long time
