99% of the other TV activity is Netflix, Prime, PBS Kids app, and Boomarang, already paying for, on top of the cable bill from xfinity.
The only thing I need cable for is in the subject line, plus I'm getting more and more into Hawks BBall so Bally Sports is also preferred. I also like DVR'ing and being able to rewind, fast forward live TV.
ATT Fiber is now in my neighborhood with sweet deals.
There's a lot of very smart people here, who can set me straight. Please send me on the path to enlightenment. Please help me cut the cord.

YouTube TV. Look it up to see what channels will be available in your area, but it is the way to go for cord cutters who are interested in live sports.

something like YTTV or Hulu. I know YTTV has SECN, not sure about other live streaming services.

It seems to have everything I'm looking for except Bally Sports. Also, can you record/pause/rewind/FF stuff?

Hulu love here. Yes you have DVR. No you don’t have Bally and that sucks.

Well, this sucks-

Does Bally Sports have a streaming service?
As most of you most likely know, Sinclair has removed all of the Bally Sports channels from basically every streaming TV service as their contracts have expired. Raising prices for renewal way above what these services want to pay. Oct 15, 2021

Yes to all
Only drawback to YTTV is no Bally Sports, but they do offer NFL Network, MLB Network, and NBATV for no extra cost in the basic package.
Extra $10 a month gets you the sports package with NFL Redzone and some other obscure channels I don't really remember. Found myself watching some Eastern European strongman competition last week, so that was fun.

YTTV says $65.99/m. Are there any bullshite taxes and fees on top of that?

Mash Here
Get a firestick, and break it...you can youtube how to break a firestick.
I pay $69.99 a month for internet, and then I use this and it's $10 a month for 2 TV's, and an extra $5 for additional TV's. I don't record anything but I'm sure theres a way to do it. My whole setup is $80 a month. That's every channel you could think of, except for GPB is the only one I couldn't find to watch HS football games.

It's a pretty firm price. No hidden fees or taxes.

That link is all about Cobra, what does the firestick have to do with it? If my TV is already a Smart TV, do I need the firestick? Seems he's just using the firestick to smartify a dumb TV in order to subscribe to Cobra. Do I understand that correctly?

Sinclair has been very douchy about not letting streaming services have access to their regional sports channels. Absolutely horrid business model in 2021.

It sucks for Hawks fans, how long are the Hawks under contract with them for?

isn't $75 - $90 of the $200 for internet service?

Correct, but I can now get 350mbps from ATT for $45 all-in, plus a $200 visa gift card. I'm supposed to be getting 300 from comcast but have never ever pinged higher than 50.

You need the ability to sideload apps on the firestick.

Gotcha. I would have to stay with the cable internet so by the time I spend for stream services its not a huge difference. Also the DVR. Is there a worth while DVR that can be purchased?

I have an Amazon TV, can I not just load the app directly onto the TV? I feel like if I plugged a firestick into an Amazon TV, they would cancel each other out in the universe like antimatter and whatnot.
