Personally the thought of Sumlin to USC triggers my BAS worse than anything I have ever experienced.
But I have a friend who says "Good, I don't want a coach who can't put together a decent defense! I don't want a coach who might leave us for USC or the NFL! Give me Chad Morris and a top DC instead!"
Do any of yall not care if Sumlin leaves?

I want him to stay and tell your friend to give the man enough time to build a defense one or two classes is barely enough to get it done

Ehrmagherd.
Who in their right mind doesn't want him to stay?

Slap your friend in the face and then scold him like a dog.

Does that same friend want to keep Billy Kennedy around based on his results?
Has your friend started becoming your guy...or worse, your buddy?

Isn't it a good thing to have a coach others are jealous of?

I don't see why any A&M fan would want Sumlin gone. Even being an LSU fan I can say I like Sumlin.

He is a smart guy (MD) and I try to reason with him about the recruiting and all. I think part of it is he can't stand how poorly the defense is playing and we live in Austin so the "they are young" thing is played out to him.
Another big part is how bad I have been BASing about it. He gets a lot of it. Might be him talking me off the ledge.
Heck that is why I have been on the rant less. I am too thin skinned right now.

No worries brotha. Sit back and enjoy some damn good Aggie football on Saturday. We can let the offseason play out when January rolls around

I think Sumlin is the perfect coach for Texas A&M, a guy who is suited to run and manage a premiere program, a phenomenal recruiter, and I think he loves Texas A&M.

Unless Saban, Meyer, or Chip Kelly express interest in taking over TAMU, there's no way anyone should want Sumlin gone after his recent success. Your friend needs to lay off the needle and take up a good, wholesome hobby like, I don't know, bootblacking or amateur porn. Defense is a legitimate concern, and we'll have to wait and see what Sumlin does with his new recruits, but for now, he just wins. And, unlike Mile, he doesn't appear to be relying on his coordinators to make him look better.
