I think it has been made clear the competition is close and both are expected to play on Thursday.

I thought Starkel would run away with it, but I was wrong. At this point IDK what to think, I guess I still lean Starkel.

I think Mond. With real coaching he has a way higher ceiling.

His accuracy has always scared me. Sumlin's offense is QB friendly and he only completed 51% of his passes. It was in the mid 50s in HS too.

Apparently, he's completed 80% in fall camp during scrimmages, but that seems too good to be true.

If Mond has accuracy, it's him. He seems to fit the Jimbo QB in high mobility.

I've yet to sleep at a Holiday Inn Express, so take my opine with a tremendous grain of salt.

Mond. It sounds like they’re pretty much even, but Mond is a way better runner so he gets the nod. Considering the D-Lines we face this year, we’ll need a guy who can make things happen with his legs

First snap, both Mond and Starkel are on the field in a wishbone. They proceed to alternate snaps the entire game. Debate continues for another week.

Clemson game comes, who takes the first snap? Foster. He’s been the plan the whole time. He’s the next Johnny and kicks Clemson right in the dick. A&M to the CFB Playoffs talk begins.

Tom Brady and Peyton Manning were some of the least sacked and least mobile QBs. They made quick decisions, got rid of the ball, and moved effectively in the pocket. That is more important when facing a killer pass rush that has a QB that can scramble.

Clearly, we don't have a Tom Brady or Peyton Manning on this team, but my point stands. If Starkel is better than Mond at these things he may actually help our OL more.

Same logic for the deep ball. Whoever can hit the deep ball more consistently will dramatically affect the O-line protection.

Is this a prediction, or do you have some inside knowledge?
