BRAND NEW College Football Playoff rankings:
1 Bama
2 Clemson
3 ND
4 UGA
5 OU
6 Ohio St
7 Mich
8 UCF
9 Florida
10 LSU
11 Washington
12 PSU
13 Wash St
14 Texas
15 Kentucky
16 WVU
17 Utah
18 Miss St
19 Texas A&M
20 Cuse
21 Northwestern
22 Boise St
23 Iowa St
24 Mizzou
25 Fresno St

I can’t find the rational for MSU to be ahead of us yet we’re behind LSU & UK. Why do LSU & UK get major credit for beating avg Miami & shitty UL yet we get knocked way down for barely losing to Clemson. Then you factor in UK took an L from UT. That should be devastating to a ranking.

I don’t think they put as much thought as you think they do into the back end spots that aren’t getting into a NY6 game like we are in. Kentucky is definitely overrated though.

IMO the top 14 spots are good

I was speaking more towards how the SEC teams are ranked.

MSU is 8-4 just like we are yet they needed 4 soft OOC games to do it.

I am fine with LSU being ahead of us. Miami is an ok win and UGA is a huge huge win. But we did end up with the same conference record and a h2h win. 9 spots separating us ain’t right.

UK is 9-3 (5-3) but they played a shite ooc schedule, have a win about equal to us (LSU v UF), have a h2h L, and a bad loss. There is no way they should be 4 spots ahead of us.

We lost four games, and lost to MSU - rankings are just fine

I agree with what you’re saying but I don’t think they’re pouring over the details to differentiate between the 15th and 19th team because it doesn’t matter

The Auburn game really pisses me off still. We would probably have the best resume of the three 3 loss SEC teams if we had just closed that out

We would definitely be in a NY6 game I would think

LieSU and Florida being top 10 guarantees us a bowl in Florida.

We may be better off this way. We need to go to Florida and beat the breaks off Wisconsin or Sparty. Now if we get stuck in Memphis or Houston playing a BIG12 team, then I'll be pissed as well.

Theres some truth there. It would be nice to get a big ten team that plays into our strength

Pretty easy to read. MSU is the highest ranked 4 loss team. We are the 2nd highest ranked 4 loss team. MSU beat us.

Same reason Florida is above LSU.

Basically a case study in why you just don't lose to Mississippi schools.

Looking at 1 game is short sighted.

Wins over LSU, UK are more impressive than a win over A&M. Use the playoff ranking to justify it.

5-3 >> 4-4

8-4 with an SOS of 1 > 8-4 with an SOS of 18

No, it doesn’t. We’ll be the the group of 6 bowls with State, Mizzou, South Carolina, etc. while it seems to be trending towards the Outback, it could be Texas, Liberty, Music City, Belk, and one I’m forgetting.

Miss St also beat y’all head to head. Y’all are the second highest rated 4 loss team (behind them). I don’t know what else you want.

LSU & UF normally wouldn’t be 10 spots ahead, but this year is a little misleading because there are so many teams with 3 losses, and hardly any with just 2 losses.

I want voters to look past just W/L record. That’s all.
