Go ahead and assume Trayveon and Sternberger are gone and be pleasantly surprised if they stay. Both intend to declare as of today.

McCoy and Dodson are leaning towards staying barring a big surprise in their draft grades.

Starkel, Chriss, Strong, Lacamera are all definite/likely transfers

Hansford is either retiring or transferring

Expect several OL to leave after the Spring, any freshmen or sophomores who can’t crack the two deep by April will likely never play here given how young the OL as a whole is.

Same with WR, anybody not on the two deep in April will look around given everyone is a freshman, sophomore or junior and none of the juniors to be are likely going to leave early.

One surprising name I heard is Derrick Tucker. He may see the writing on the wall and by Fall may very well not be on the two deep.

Overall our coaches are expecting about 15 scholarship guys leaving between now and August between the draft and transfers, and they don’t believe any will need to be forced to fit our incoming class. Enough players will leave of their own volition.

Fisher has a Coach Cal approach to draft declarations: He believes it helps recruiting and program perception and is a net positive. He does not generally give players a hard “stay” pitch and wants them to get paid.

Agreed. Hopefully Baylor Cupp and Glen Beal can make up the difference at TE

Surprised Blumrick isn't on this list too

What about juniors and seniors? I don't see Anderson, Prater or Dietsch ever seeing meaningful playing time and would not be shocked if both Moore and Green lose their starting spots to one of the redshirt freshmen.

McZeal is the only one not accounted for earlier and he'll never see the field.

Not surprised at all. He became a liability once Watts left.

1. QB - Starkel
2. RB - Williams (NFL)
3. RB - Strong
4. WR - Chriss
5. WR - Hansford
6. WR - McZeal
7. TE - Sternberger (NFL)
8. OL - Prater
9. OL - Anderson
10. OL - Dietsch
11. OL - Reed
12. DL - Horry
13. DL - Robinson
14. DB - Tucker
15. DB - Reynolds
16. DB - Howard
17. DB - Parker (already transferred)
18. K - LaCamera

Would like to see Oliver leave as well

Dodson staying would be huge. I expect there to be more DBs besides possibly Tucker

Sucks to hear Sternberger, but I’ll never give the players crap for trying to make it in the NFL when they can, he has had a monster season for us. I hope Beal and Cupp are ready and can step up.

We can’t afford to keep three scholarship kickers and he can grad transfer and play immediately

I have trouble believing that Sternberger will leave. He's had a great year, but has a lot of improving to do in blocking and getting stronger, and he could help his draft status a lot with another year, in my opinion.

He’s expected to receive a first or second round grade. NFLscouts believe he’s the next Dallas Clark.

Expected by whom? I'll believe it when it happens.

He will definitely get a grade of third round or higher. He's gone

Folks who often have inside info on other sites are saying that Jace has already decided to leave. I think it's a financial mistake, as I don't think he's a first round guy, nor a second round guy, but he'd have a great chance of playing himself into the first round next year. The financials work out in favor of staying if doing so gets you into the first round.

I hope whatever path Jace chooses works out for him. I do wonder if his lack of size keeps him towards the 3rd or 4th round. But even there, he should be able to carve out a very nice career if he keeps progressing and stays healthy.
