8-5 guys.

It’s the first year.
Our secondary sucks.

I’ve been trying to turn over the koolaid bowl but no one wanted to listen.

We said at the beginning of the year that we would look like this.

We'll still beat Auburn, UAB and Ole Miss.

Also since unlike under Sumlin we play far better at home than on the road, we might even have an outside shot at LSU.

If we play like we did tonight, we might only beat UAB to finish out the year....

Ole miss is going to light our secondary up.

Ole Miss has the worst defense in the conference in every single category. COMPLETE OPPOSITE of the one we played tonight.

We looked like we predicted we would look back in August.

You don't understand how bad Ole Miss' defense is this season.

I'm talking the worst parts of Torbush, Snyder and Chavis put together.

Worse pass defense than A&M 2005. Worse run defense than anything under Sumlin. Worse total and scoring defense than A&M 2008.

Nobody has left reality

This was likely going to be a 7-5 to 9-3 team all along. Talking about the possibility of winning out doesn’t mean we’ve lost touch with reality.

We aren’t losing to OM at home. Their defense is worse than anything we ever saw under Fran, Sherman or Sumlin.

They are literally (LITERALLY) playing skill position players at DB.

I fact I’ll go one further: We have a better (albeit still low) chance of losing to UAB than OM. UAB plays defense.

No way we get to 8 wins now. Either 7-5 or 6-6. We will lose at auburn, and I’m not even sure we beat ole miss.

Nothing wrong with adjusting a preseason record prediction as the season plays out. While I really thought the 10-2 talk was way unnecessary and premature, I had kind of upgraded my initial 7-5 to 8 or 9 wins hopefully.

But after watching this game and how we still can’t figure offense out in general, and especially the red zone, just right back to that 7 wins. And the way ole miss throws it, I guess 6 wins isn’t out of the question either.

Just sad overall, I know Miss St has a really good defense but it looks like our offense has regressed during the season.

Probably just due to DC's having film available on you guys. Not so much a regression but D's are more prepared now.

We’ve played a brutal defensive schedule though. Ole Miss is the ONLY P5 team we face with a defensive efficiency outside the national top-50 and one of only two outside the top-25.

If our receivers and tight end don't forget how to catch the ball we win that game. Mississippi State also played the best they had all year. We didn't look great last night but I wouldn't overreact to it either.

We will this year. I have a feeling we are going to make stidham look like a heisman contender for the first time all year.

7-5 was my best case pre-season scenario, so I’m not all doom and gloom, but I think ole miss poses a real threat to our dogshit secondary so I don’t feel comfortable calling that a win leaving 6-6 a real possibility.

ETA: and this was my 10,000 post.

So our remaining wins are OM and UAB.
