Knight has only started 15 total games

Period, 2 were bowl games

That only leaves 13 regular season games

Yeah he hasn't started a ton of games because, frankly, he wasn't very good in the opportunities he was given.

He's a 5th year senior, that has started on and off since his freshman year. You're the only I seen that used the term "4th year starter", so I'm not sure why you are arguing it's a bad term.

Allen isn't on the team. Knight is.

This is a pretty shitty thread. Knight is who we have.

I'm pretty sure OU could have used their former team Captain's leadership this past week.

Knight had the second highest QBR in the SEC last week.

Knight has been pretty inaccurate so far. High throws. Throwing behind guys. Leading screens too much. It's going to cost us more than just the YAC we're leaving on the table at some point.

A LOT of high throws.

Lot of drops today, too

I don't mind high throws to a majority of the team (Reynolds, RSJ, Ed Pope, Nacho, and even Speedy). I think that high throws might even be part of the game plan for our outside receivers and half of our inside Flex/TE players.

He seems to struggle when Kirk and Jeffrey are going across the middle. That is a huge discrepancy in height for the inside receivers with RSJ and Nacho at 6'5"+ and Jeffrey and Kirk at 5'9" and 5'11" probably without the verticals of the wide outs.

I would pull Jeffrey out of the 2 deep and replace him with Boone. I would continue to have Kirk work screens, comeback routes, and vertical. He doesn't need to be working across the middle.

The unfortunate reality is that Knight is a reasonably functional, mature QB. He would be a great backup, but you won't win a championship with him. Of course, this is exactly why he ended where he did at OU.

The bad news is that Mazzone has brought enough stability to the offense, that along with Turner's job with the OL, A&M could have a strong offense with good QB play.

I would settle for a Sugar Bowl win & a #6 ranking.

Settling is the Aggie mantra.

Outside of the receiver's catch radius and in danger of being picked off by a safety is not acceptable.

I just think he needs to take a few deep breaths early. He has seemed to be really wound up early in the first two games, throwing into the dirt against UCLA and sailing passes early against PV. Both of his INTs seemed to be brain farts, and he definitely needs to get that under control.

That pass to Kirk just before halftime, though? That was perfection.

Guy is a gunslinger. He is going to get us in trouble sometimes. I'd prefer he tuck it and run a little more often.

We will have a great year if he just either tucks and runs or let's it fly into the stands if he doesn't have an open man

Yep. Said in the first game I wasn't a huge fan of his Brett Favre mentality

Sometimes you just have to throw it to grandma.
