I'm suprised and pleased at what I see when I look at Trevor compared to other SEC QBs. He has completed 115/215 (53.5%). He really needs to get better here. Thank goodness our run game is doing so well this year.

LINK
Trevor Knight
1500 Yards - 4th in SEC
9 TD - T5th in SEC
5 INT

Also glad to see Josh Reynold's 92 yard TD is still the longest reception in the league.

Knight has only been sacked 4 times in 6 games. That is incredible. The OL was a huge worry at the start of the season. Jim Turner is doing something right.

This actually Knights worst season ever so far based on QB rating. His completion % is also lower than it ever was at OU.

He is already at career highs in rushing and rushing TDs however.

If the season ended today, there's a good chance he would be 1st team All-SEC. And probably would make at least one All American team.

Almost unfathomable how well it's worked out so far.

It will be interesting to see if he can hold up the entire season considering he is already about to surpass his total for most rushes in a single year.

He also is doing a slightly better better job of avoiding picks than he has in the past so that's at least one positive to be happy about.

Is Tennessee the best pass defense (and pass rush) y'all have played?

UCLA is #7 nationally in opposing passer rating. Auburn 28th, Tennessee 58th.

Tennessee is 107th in sacks/gm, so pretty much every one has been better. Or at least more productive. Was impressed with Barnett, though.

It turns out he is the best fit for our program this year. We've been fortunate.

We need to expand the playbook a bit.

And not just as a pass rusher. One play he dropped back into coverage against Josh Reynolds. Bad pass from Trevor was incomplete, but what team ever even thinks to do that with a DE?

Love the guy, but he's a bit maddening. He can throw perfect 40+ passes to Josh down the sidelines, but throws 5 yard slants into the grass. I wouldn't trade him for anybody, but it's a weird deal.

Knight has the prettiest deep ball fade and hits it far more regularly than I think most QBs. Then the next play he biffs a flat pass.

He's a chef that nails a chateau Brian's and can't execute a grilled cheese sandwhich.

The best thing he brings is that maturity we've been lacking at the position.

It's crazy man. The guy lacks nothing in terms of arm strength or timing. He can throw it 40 yards and drop it right over a receiver's shoulder in stride as he runs up the sideline. But ask him to throw it 5 yards? In the dirt. Over his head. Or, will randomly just jack it up to the middle of the field.

I think a lot of it has to do with his strength. I think he just overpowers the short passes I watched a couple of the drops and you can see they were like hot potatoes when they hit receivers hands

Guys also forget that none of our five star wide receiver recruits were actually wide receivers in highschool, so they aren't doing Knight a whole bunch of favors. RSJ and Speedy were QBs, while Kirk was essentially a RB.

I want to be clear and say that for his flaws, TK has been a superb addition and I simply cannot imagine this team without him on it.

He's been a diamond for us, to be sure.

Truth. Considering the spot we were in at that position after last season, he's been a godsend
