I'm changing mine to 31-27 SC. I'm a little more optimistic and think we get an extra but still don't see us winning

Sticking with my prediction of us running out of time by a score of 38-31. Only way we win is if we commit fewer errors than they (especially when it comes to turnovers). But too many factors seem to favor the home team this go-round. Think we need to be on the right side of some fluky shite to pull off the upset.

Ags 38
USCe 34
USCe out of position way too often. RSJ & Speedy run wild in young secondary. Cocks start to cheat and get burned deep a couple of times.
Ags running game is effective with cocks having a hard time making D adjustments Carson breaks into the secondary too many times and gashes Cocks with big runs.
Snyder dials up some pressure and we get to Dylan. Dylan gets shaken up and does not finish the game.
Spurrier throws hat down 4 times.
Ags jump to 14th in polls.
Yes, I have had a few cocktails already but Ags have a decent chance to pull the upset.

I'm hesitant to predict scores. I really don't know enough about SC to do that. But I'm drunk so I'm going to predict some stuff about us tonight.
> Kenny Hill is good. People have no idea. But he's really really good. Like top 3 in the SEC this year
> Speedy Noil and Myles Garrett are going to be elite. The coaches have tried their best to downplay them both, but all indications are both are what their recruiting rankings suggest. They are game changing talents in every sense. The type that other schools will start telling us they will leave early midway through this year.
> Mastrogiavanni is solid. He's not going to make you think of Coryatt. And he's not going to make a lot of people on our boards happy because he isn't flashy. But he'll be more consistent (and therefore better) than Claiborne was last year. People forget how terrible Claiborne was at times though.
> We aren't going to run like the dipshits on ESPN or SECN think we should. It's going to be more running than last year but this offense will be more Tech 07 than A&M 13. Lot of crossing patterns and bubbles mixed in with draws. I have no idea where Booger got the idea we run a Zone Read though. I actually think Hill ran more Zone Read plays last year than Manziel (and we may see a bit of that tomorrow)
I'd talk about SLB because it scares me to death, but if we win, it'll be because we hold the LOS on defense. We didn't in a single game last year so it's really hard to know if we can. I think we'll be better but we're about to get punched in the mouth. And frankly, we have too many key guys that I just can't say how they'll react to that.
We may wither. We may rise to the challenge. We might rise to it and still lose like vs UF in '12. But this season won't be won or lost tomorrow. Lotta youth.
But if we win tomorrow -- look out. The pieces are there. There's no telling how far this team can go if it has the guts.

I don't give a shite about the actual split percentage wise, I just hope we stick with it when it's working. I realize McKinney is no longer OC but I was about to blow a gasket during the Mizzou game when it seemed like we were breaking off long run after long run and dominating the LOS but kept moving away from it.
Vs LSU we didn't even attempt to establish it in cold, rainy windy weather with a QB that wasn't 100%.
Posted on 8/27/14 at 11:55 pm to ShaneTheLegLechler
I'm not going to defend McKinney. I wrote a long treatise last year before he got demoted about why he should be and that I thought Sumlin would pull the trigger.
So I don't disagree. But Johnny indirectly was part of the problem. The offense is designed to take what the defense gives so if Arky plays 2-deep safeties we'll run all day. But when LSU and then Mizzou showed 8 in the box, we passed even though they consistently dropped out of it.
Johnny did a poor job recognizing this at times. He hated to run anyway so he was always looking for an excuse to check out of it. Kenny is confident but not yet so cock-sure and I think he'll run as called more often. Tech could run a scrub out there over and over because he just ran the offense and didn't try to do too much. Kenny can do that and make all the throws.

I don't think enough people realize this. JFF was a prodigy, but he wasn't perfect, and many of the amazing plays he made, he made because he HAD to, due to not running the offense and taking what the defense gave him.
A more disciplined QB might not capture the imagination like JFF did, but make no mistake, if Kenny Hill is as good as I think he is, this offense will really hum.

I predicted a 31-27 win, so I guess you're first and I'm second.
TMC's "predictions" were pretty money though, so he gets a participation award even though he wouldn't give actual numbers

Yes you are. Well done.
Kind of surprising how few of us thought we had a decent shot to win the game.

We learned from SC's scrimmage their Corners are bad, as expected. I'd change my prediction but I was already counting on that. I'll hang with my prediction of Ags winning 45-38 for now. We're only one week into camp though.
