Here is where you call your shot, for better or for worse!

Texas A&M 2013 football schedule:

Rice
Sam Houston State
Alabama
SMU

@Arkansas
@Ole Miss
Auburn
Vanderbilt
UTEP
Mississippi State

@LSU
@Mizzou

Tbird's Take *assuming Manziel plays

Rice -- WIN

SHSU -- WIN

Bama -- WIN

--All the talk is going to surround whether JFF can light up the Bama D, but the game will hinge on whether the Wrecking Crew can stone the Tide's offense again. Defenses feed off the crowd, and it will undoubtedly be bedlam at Kyle Field by the time kickoff rolls around. Aggies win another nailbiter on the strength of a stout Wrecking Crew.

SMU -- WIN

Arky -- WIN

--Gonna be closer than expected

Ole Miss -- WIN

--Gonna be an easier win than anticipated

Auburn -- WIN

Vandy -- WIN

UTEP -- WIN

Miss. St. -- WIN

LSU -- WIN

--With almost two full seasons under his belt, the JFF LSU will face this year is hardly the wet-behind-the-ears phenom QB that hadn't figured out how to use his arm to hurt defenses as much as his legs. Ags by 10 in the Gulf War

Mizzou -- WIN

--Only reasoning for this: Aggies are undefeated anytime Mr. and Mrs. Tbird are in attendance as each others' date (ironic twist--the only Aggie game we missed when we were dating was Mizzou in 2010). We will be in attendance as representatives of the Texan Embassy.

SEC Title Game: A&M vs. USC

A&M by 13

National Title Game: TAMU over ohio state by 22 (which I will take great pleasure in as a Michigan fan )

Yeah, I said we'd run the table this year. I have never said that about the Aggies before in my life, but I think if there were ever a year to go all the way, it's this year. I'm GLAD the offseason has been tumultuous for JFF and A&M. Combine that with being snubbed (deservedly or undeservedly so) out of the top 5 rankings, and any sense of complacency that could have potentially set in after a better-than-expected 2012 season has been replaced with a colossal chip on the teams' shoulder, IMO. Kevin Sumlin, Mark Snyder, and Larry Jackson have these boys ready to do something special this year, and I intend to kick my BAS to the curb and enjoy every last minute of it that I can.

What say y'all?

12-2. Losses to LSU in Death Valley and Georgia in the SEC title game.

Georgia wins the National Title.

A&M wins the Sugar Bowl vs. Oklahoma State.

Wins (with or without JF)
Rice
Sam Houston State
SMU
UTEP
Mississippi State
@Mizzou

Probable wins (with or without JF)
@Arkansas - new coach and still much unknown
@Ole Miss - September 27, 2008 lives in infamy to the Gators @ the Swamp
Auburn - new coach and still much unknown
Vanderbilt - off field will hurt Dores most as depth is issue

Questionable wins (with or without JF)
Alabama
@LSU

lose to bama on some questionable fourth quarter calls, so much so that it's the lead story going into our BCS rematch.

Texas A&M wins BCSNC!

I'm typically more of an optimist as the season rolls around, but I've never predicted A&M would run the table. I would hardly dog anyone for being cautious, though. Hell, this is the SEfreakingC. Anyone can get beat just about any given week.

But for me, if I don't call this one like I see it, with the returning Heisman QB and a favorable schedule, then I'm a damn slave (tee hee, I know ) to my BAS (or whatever you want to call it). I know good and well I might be wrong (hell, most likely I'm DEAD wrong--takes a lot of good fortune to win a MNC), but I'm feeling like this could be a very special year, and I'll not be coy about it.

If (and when) I'm wrong, I'll be here to dine on crow

If we won it all I imagine they would then rule jff inelligible and we would be forced to vacate the wins and the natty. Maybe that's the bas though.
