I am curious to see if they come out looking to ruin our chances or if they are just going through the motions.
Either way I believe we will win. I am thinking it will be a 14-17 point margin.

Absolutely. Thet will be as motivated as LSU was to put a lump of coal in our season.

I do too. Jimbo has these guys focused. Note in any interview they don't take the bait. They will not comment on anything beyond the current focus. And that is playing well and winning this game.

I think we will witness a very rare example of Jimbo running up the score for the sake of optics

Tennessee reminds me a lot of South Carolina
- an embattled coach
- trying to figure out the QB position, which is limiting their passing game
- they have a good RB, but with nothing else to lean on, our defense should be able to control them
- they have a decent run defense
- they have been pretty good in the 1st half, but collapsing in the 2nd half all year long
If Mond just plays an average game, we should win by at least 2 scores.
But I think this will play out something like the Miss St./Arkansas/South Carolina games. At some point in the 3rd quarter it will be clear we are going to win the game, then our fans will start complaining about how Jimbo is not doing enough to run up the score to impress the playoff committee
In short, it will be like a lot of our games.

Could easily see it playing out like that.

We need to beat them so badly that King is playing by the middle of the 3rd quarter.

I would like to see a performance like the SC game, where we ran up the score while trying NOT to.

I have to admit my BAS is kicking in. I expect another close game

Another thing. Tennessee had a couple of more guys opt out in the last couple of weeks. A TE and their kicker.
I think they also had one of their linebackers kicked off the team on drugs and weapons charges earlier this month.
Just pointing this out for those still testing positive for Battered Aggie Syndrome who are nervous about a disaster in Knoxville on Saturday.
I live up here in the Volunteer heartland of East Tennessee now. I'll just put it this way, the Volunteer faithful are not happy at all with Pruitt. I've yet to meet one here who thinks Pruitt is gonna beat Jimbo in this game. If anything, they WANT Jimbo to pour it on in hopes that it will result in Pruitt sent packing.

The Vols have been upset since things went south with Butch Jones. A lot of them had doubts about Pruitt from the beginning. The problem is that Fulmer gave Pruitt a contract extension before the season began. Which kind of came out of nowhere. Was some other school gonna try to poach Pruitt out of Knoxville?
Pruitt's buyout would be about $13 million. Add in the rest of the staff and the bill would be about $19 million. Or so I've heard. That's a lot of money, but Auburn was willing to pay Gus $21 million to leave town, so it's possible that Pruitt could be gone. He's definitely taking a lot of heat.

Too many teams are bidding against their self. Lsu did it too even with the National Title no one wanted O.

Seeing the LSU fans on tRant hoping and praying that TN upsets us is pretty satisfying tbh

Luicci has brought up Demas unprovoked a few times this week, so maybe he'll finally start to see some playing time.

Tennessee has always been a problem for us historically. Interested to see how things go today, but their running defense is not terrible. They remind me of Auburn, with a better QB
Hopefully good Mond shows up today
