The entire season rests on Wiggins

Any season and any team has the potential for breakout stars or major injuries to swing things one way or the other - but aside from that - our season is up to Holmon Wiggins.
In our final two games last season, our offense looked like a completely different team. Completely uninspired. Vanilla. I’m in the camp that puts that at the feet of a checked out Collin Klein, which in his defense is just human nature.
So the question is - did Wiggins pick up the offensive scheme enough to carry it forward? Or did we misplace trust in someone who’s never called plays before? Our talent level will get us some wins on their own, but without a high level play caller, we could be facing a huge step back.

I'm afraid we could have the best OC around calling the plays but Reeds inconsistent play will cost us at least 2 games given this years schedule. 60% completion isn't going to get it done especially given the running game outlook for this team.

I hate the hire but I hope I'm wildly wrong.

The season rests on Reed. He has shown he can play elite caliber football but also be terrible. Can he find consistency and stay at or close to elite level? That will determine our season

I don’t feel any particular way about it. I trust Elko until he proves me wrong

He already made a curious DC hire, demoted him after one season, then pushed him out after the next. Good on Elko for not keeping Bateman around forever, but he's not above picking duds.

Apparently Reed worked with a Pro QB coach this offseason. Let's see if his mechanics have improved

Growth either happens or it doesn’t
I remember all of us giving up on Mond but he grew and we were shocked
I think Reed has more raw talent so if he takes a step forward we could be in for some real fun
