Gilder took on Diallo is round one at times. He’s similarly sized.

I'm very calm. This is a Aggie sports message board, what would we do if not discuss and project future matchups? Just an odd thing for you to say.

quote:

Gonzaga and Michigan are both tougher matchups than UNC for us.

Disagree, Joel Berry was the single worst match up for us on our side of the bracket. Playmaking point guards who can create their own shot have always eaten BK teams alive because Kennedy doesn't place appropriate value on the PG position. Combined with the fact that Starks is a poor defender and that was a nightmare matchup.

Michigan more or less does what we do with inferior players at 4 of 5 positions and less girth inside. Gonzaga was 2-4 against tournament trams during the regular season.

quote:

Every team left right now is either very talented, red hot, or some combo of both. You whip yourself into a frenzy with these hypotheticals and then get livid when they don’t come to fruition

Yeah, none of that is true. For instance, Kansas State has average talent and are 6-4 in their last 10 games. Loyola is an average team from a below average conference who got here on two low-percentage last second shots. Nevada is another average team that is getting by on miraculous comebacks. All of those teams are here based more on luck and circumstance than skill or being "hot".

And I'm one of the few who doesn't get caught up in the emotion of winning streaks. We win a couple games and everyone just forgets our coach is a major disadvantage every time we step on the court. I would not be shocked AT ALL if Michigan blew us out because Kennedy shits the bed.

you tear down the opponent and build up our talent to the point where it’s a crime if we lose. You’ve done it countless times and are setting it up again.

Again, that's just not true. It's a FACT based on every available metric that North Carolina was better than any team we could possibly play until the title game. That doesn't mean Michigan or Gonzaga are bad teams.

Billy Kennedy has lost plenty of games against objectively bad teams all on his own. He doesn't need me downplaying good teams, and I don't need to do so to show he's a poor coach. This is a guy who once lost to North Texas by 20 at home. That was AFTER losing to Southern and Rice at home the years prior. He lost to a 17 win LSU team this year...twice.

Coaches cannot play the game. Coaches coach and players play

Correct

quote:

Coaches coach and players play

And certain types of play, repeated regularly over time, reflect coaching. This goes for good coaching and bad coaching.

Sweet 16 for the second time in 3 years, and hasn’t most tournament wins in program history.

In his defense, TAMU's talent is that good

TAMU is like Villanova. Just like how Nova can shoot literally anyone out of the gym, TAMU plays well, there are are few if any teams in the country that can do anything about it.

The irony is that Billy Kennedy seems to want to be a UVA. Built around efficiency and forcing opponents to step up and beat them

So help a brother out, if I wanted to purchase a ticket for the final four games today, where would be the best place to pick it up?

Buy two extra FF tix and you'll net yourself some free lodging if TAMU makes it here.

Guys we aren't getting past the sweet 16. Not because we can't win the game or because we don't deserve it; because we are aggie and this is our destiny.

Those A&M letters could have stood for “Ambushed” and “Manhandled,” because that’s what the underdog Aggies did to North Carolina before what was basically a home crowd for the Tar Heels in Charlotte’s Spectrum Center.
