We really, really need to win out. Our remaining schedule is a joke. 3 dumpster fire teams and Vanderbilt, a solid but far from great team, at home.
Kentucky is not very healthy in its front court and they have to play @Vanderbilt and @Florida they'll likely lose another game and we could tie for the conference title.

So are we 1 game behind UK now? And if they lose a game are we sole champs due to head to head?

The SEC will recognize Co champs. Where head to head comes into play is SECT seeding

So if they drop one and we win out we will be co-champs? What if their loss is to SC? Can there be 3 co-champs?

It can be 14 team co champs if everyone is .500.

Ags back in both polls at #21
We're 4-0 versus the current top 25 (Kentucky, Iowa St, Baylor, Texas)

I didn't get a chance to watch the UK game (though I've read the game summary). But it's nice to see we actually could come back and win the SEC despite the really bad spell. Happy to see they didn't just fold when they could have.

Looking at the schedule of the top 4 in conference: (current standings based upon tiebreakers. LSU is 0-1 vs. Florida, we are 1-0)
Kentucky 10-4: Remaining schedule vs. Alabama (W), at Vanderbilt (Tossup), at Florida (Tossup), vs. LSU (W)
The reason I consider those two game tossups is because Kentucky is horribly depleted in the front court with Willis' injury. Vanderbilt presents unique matchup problems especially on their strange home court.
South Carolina 9-5: Remaining schedule vs. Tennessee (W), at Mississippi State (Tossup), vs. UGA (W), at Arkansas (L)
I consider the Mississippi State game a tossup because South Carolina lost to a HORRIBLE Missouri team on the road without one of their best players.
Texas A&M 9-5: Remaining schedule vs. Mississippi State (W), at Missouri (W), at Auburn (W), vs. Vanderbilt (W)
Any loss out of the next four undoes any positives from the Kentucky win.
LSU 9-5: Remaining schedule at Arkansas (L), vs. Florida (Tossup), vs. Missouri (W), at Kentucky (L)
LSU is falling apart, especially with Hornsby gone.
As long as A&M takes care of business, we need Kentucky to lose one to share/win the SEC regular season title.

just for clarity, in that case, is it in fact a co-champ? The only difference being we'd get the #1 seed in SEC tourney, right?

Co-Champions if the record is the same. Tiebreaker is when seeding is determined.

It's more than that.
South Carolina wins every 3-way head to head between A&M, SC, and Kentucky due to records vs. Vanderbilt, LSU, and Florida.
For A&M to have the #1 seed in the tournament, they must win out and have Kentucky AND South Carolina lose.

We beat Kentucky after looking to be dead in the water 1 week ago.

Report: A&M, Kennedy working on new deal
quote:
In an interview with the Dallas Morning News, new Texas A&M athletic director Scott Woodward said that the University and Kennedy were working on a new deal that would keep him in Aggieland.
"We will be," Woodward told the paper when asked if talks of a new contract were underway. "And I've assured coach Kennedy that we want him here and we have strong feelings to keep him here. And I think there will be something forthcoming in the near future."

I knew he'd be back for another few years with the season we're having, but it still hurts a little to read it.

As long as there is little or no buyout and NO GUARANTEED CONTRACT.
