The staff seems serious about a second tight end, with Wydermyer being the most likely option.

I really didn't watch Sternberger's blocking that closely on the edge of Clemson's DL. I know he has good hands and is pretty good at adjusting his route to find open space.

I just don't know if he is up to that level to hold his own in the running game in the NFL. I never played TE in high school (was a RB), so have no real insight into his technique and so forth.

If any of y'all ever played any TE, by the way, feel free to compare Cupp and the kid from Dickinson.

I did and I can say I enjoyed playing DE 1,000X more than TE. DE is the most fun and simple position on the field. TE has to block. frick blocking; that shite is hard work.

Depends on the defense. Weakside DE in the old 5-2, a standup 9 tech, is the best position in football. It's a blast.

TexAgs is saying that they expect Bogle to commit to Miami. That tweet got my hopes up.

From the comments 247 got from Bogle, it sounds the same, he enjoyed College Station, but he wasnt blown away, and he wants to play his college ball in a big city.

I honestly don’t blame him. It’s a huge culture shock going from Fort Lauderdale to the Station.

I'm not getting my hopes up on any of these OOS 2019 kids. It would be a nice surprise but I'm expecting Ugwoegbu and Wydermyer to finish. All these national guys do is put pressure on those guys to hurry up and commit so we can lock down the whole class on early signing day. Would be huge to completely move on to 2020 a couple months early.

What about Stripling? You not expecting to get him?

I just get the feeling he goes to OU. That's not based on anything being reported. I just get the sense that he has never been the priority that Wydermyer or Ugwoegbu have been for this staff and they seem to be shopping his spot out the most to all these OOS guys. I could be totally wrong but it just doesn't feel like he ends up in this class. I guess I should add that I expect that we flip Shepherd into Medley's spot as well.

So over the past week...I've gotten a little confused.

First - Bogle was close to shutting it down...now he's going to Miami.
Medley is gone or being processed? (he's got a great offer sheet)
Shepherd is flipping?
Stripling has been rather quiet which could mean that he's gone a little dark or we have something else planned?

All the while we have a new 2020 QB commit / but we don't?

Anyone with some decent knowledge or insight - putting it in one place might be appreciated...

I have seen a few other folks say Stripling is probably OU. I hope that doesn't happen, but I have never seen him play - so what do I know. I'm not sure Shepherd is going to happen. But we seem to have so many big time 2020 OL interested, I wouldn't be surprised if Medley flips either way. Wish there was a true bigtime ILB that we could add.

People seem to have misinterpreted a tweet from Bogle about shitting it down, as to what team he was talking about

All speculation at this point, but trending in that direction

Not sure

He's committed but Texags is waiting to release a commitment video before confirming

This shite is such a bad look. When this turns out to be an illegal benefit in a couple years I will never recover from the laughter it produces.

I would be more upset about it but frankly it helps recruits burn the bridges we want them to burn.

i think hamm is the one making the video and we are just waiting on his new site finishing it. and there is like a greater than 80% hamm gets us in trouble with the NCAA at some point in time in the future

Sorry but I don't believe this at all. If I'm a college coach and I want a certain player I'm not going to stop recruiting him or be mad that he got an improper benefit from Chin Pubes.

I remember the DaShaun White commitment video then he ended up being a big Aggie Basher when he switched to OU.
