The Mike and EJ show has been a joke for a long time. "We are well connected" "We have the best sources" "We will be the first to let you know if anything changes". You are getting beat by your competitors and the surly bunch. Honestly, we could distill 247 down into fong's CBs and everyone would be way better off.

Bama, Georgia and us are seperate by a total of 1 point in the composite. We're equal now for all intents and purposes.

Both will eventually blow past us unless we land two of sophosher, Dean and Wilson. Georgia is on pace for around 310-315 points.

I agree with OP about how the Texas Staff is the makn source of our frustration. They are getting embarassed this cycle. Hopefully wins will cure that and we can flip players later on.
However about EJ - I got to get some stuff off my mind. I can't speak for everyone but I've lost trust in what EJ says. He will hype up a kid & make us believe we have a chance by using terms like "sneaky good chance" or "in pole position" and then the kid goes elsewhere. I can count 5-6 players in the past few months when this has happened.
Here's some insider info for ya, You know how Texas is losing ground on someone? Keep an eye on EJ. If he goes quite on a kid its bc Texas is losing the kid and they (Texas) dont want him to leak anything negative. So EJ has nothing new to report on the kid. All mentions of the kid are non-existent on this board. Poof. Keyzer Soze. "Just like that he's gone"
Here's another tip to know when we've lost a kid....EJ immediately starts reporting about "someone new to keep an eye on"..... in the EXACT. SAME. POSITION! He proceeds to repeat the same phrases as before to hype up this new kid even when it is obvious this new kid is lower ranked and is not as desirable as the aforementioned player. It causes confusion "why would Texas offer this kid when there's a five star interested in that same scholly spot?" But EJ doesn't want to discuss the other player." Don't ask about that guy, look at this new guy. He's so much better." It appears he just leaves us to figure it out or forget about it and move on. Wish he would provide a story on what changed. Point is, don't just plug in a new name same position and regurgitate the same phrases over and over again. Thats not reporting. Thats being an echo chamber for the Texas Staff.
Here's very specific example of when I lost faith in EJ. this played out recently. look at Bru McCoy. EJ was all about McCoy. said Texas was making a huge impact on him. Floyd was in his ear, we are a Top School, we are in a sneaky good position, blah blah blah. Well we havent heard about Bru McCoy in a while right? But we have heard about another ATH or WR (not as desirable as McCoy) that "Texas is making a strong push for" in California. That made me curious and I thought, "why would Texas pursue a lower rated player when our last report was that "McCoy was high on Texas and Texas was in good shape." So I looked at the CBs to see where McCoy is trending and what do I see....Well I'll be damned our friend EJ CBd him to USC a couple days earlier and didn't say a thing about it on the board (admitting he made the pick on a multi page thread days after his pick....hardly counts). Sneaky little EJ. All about those points right. Gotta chase down the Fong right? Man EJ obviously had info on McCoy otherwise he wouldn't of put in a CB this early. So How come we haven't heard what happened there? Wheres the story on that? Instead we get told to love a new player. Whatever man. lost trust in the guy for shady practices like this.
