I know it was probably Jimbo's personal expectation, but do you think he thought it was realistic we'd have a top 5 class this year? Also, it's pure speculation that we are missing out on a couple difference makers because of Lee or Orebo.
I think Orebo especially has the chance to make an impact, but he is going to need a redshirt for sure. I also like the fact that he is a cousin of J-Train and McCoy.

Yeah, because this is the first Top 5 recruiting class Jimbo has put together as a head coach and he's still learning on the fly.

Yeah Dodson was a pretty high 3 star from what I remember. And 247 was really high on him, had him in their top 200 or so players in the country I think

If Orebo is an edge rush specialist then maybe. But Devonta Lee still seems like a long shot if that’s who you think we could replace Tarian Lee with. We need LBs/rovers in the worst way

These are all guys our staff wants very badly with better film and prospects at this level, and we could have had most or all of them. Now we could still have up to 4 of them, but it will require letting two other 4 star players go.

There is probably an SAT and/or ACT between now and then too.
I am not saying you're wrong on the possible trap doors, but I do think there could be legitimate reasons to wait to prove it academically.

I’m not trading any of these guys except Devonta Lee (who I would consider a long shot for us to land) for Tarian Lee. We are incredibly thin at LB and rover. I’m hoping Demani Richardson plays there.

The staff could have easily dropped Orebo or Lee if they wanted to just like they did with Medley. I think you are overthinking this.

Banks and Hunter at this point seem to be in. Ugwoegbu plays a different position, and is far from a cant-miss prospect. Lee I don't think would have committed anyways. And Smith? Like Ainias Smith? Guy looks like he could be a nice player, but he's every bit as speculative as Lee and Orebo.

Lee is a G5 player who will get eaten alive at this level. He weighs 205 pounds and has a small frame.
He’s the type of guy who makes highlight edge play in shite conferences, goes undrafted, bounces around a few NFL camps then is out of football. Now he’ll just get murdered by a Bama tackle as a redshirt freshman and that will be that.
