Word is that he’s announcing a postponement until he takes an official to Aggie in January

I can’t help but feel that Mowry and Ellison are placeholders at this point. They are enough of a risk academically that they were told to wait and will be trap doored to make room if needed. If we don’t need the room they’ll sign.

There’s nothing academically that will change significantly between now and February. That excuse doesn’t pass the smell test. They’ll either sign as grade risks or be replaced.

Aren’t kids still taking finals? That seems pretty significant between now and Feb.

It’s a shame because both are really good football players. But I kind of agree and if someone like Lee wanted in or we need to make room for Banks then one might be gone.

If we do get both plus Hunter this would be an absurd DL class

Also, I hope this cycle taught Jimbo a lesson. There is NO EXCUSE for a program recruiting in the top 5 nationally to EVER take a player like RJ Orebo or Tarian Lee 6+ months before signing day.

We’re gonna miss out on one or two high end four star players with better film because we took projects we didn’t need to. Those are the type of players you take to fill spots in January.

Yeah I think so which could obviously change things. But I do agree with him in the sense that both must have work to do if they aren’t signing now and we are obviously still pursuing some players with us having very limited space.

I’m gonna trust his judgment on this one

Tyrel Dotson was ranked lower than both Orebo and Lee. We need linebackers in the worst way.

I’m not sure who we are missing out on that plays the same spot as Tarian Lee

If Orebo is an edge rush specialist then maybe. But Devonta Lee still seems like a long shot if that’s who you think we could replace Tarian Lee with. We need LBs/rovers in the worst way

Yeah, I have no problem with those commitments. Have to trust the coachs’ evaluations

The type of kid who is enough of a risk to make him wait is the type who is high risk to fail any course or bomb any standardized test in the Spring.

Texags is pushing the narrative that if they sign in February they are out if the woods, so to speak. That’s untrue to anyone who spends more than 4 seconds thinking it through. If they sign it’s because we didn’t have someone to take their spot. This is nothing new in CFB, it’s just new to us because we’re recruiting at another level. And because our fanbase lacks the stomach for the realities of big boy recruiting they are fed more palatable explanations.

BUT GOOD AGGYS WOULDNT DO THAT!!!!
