Exactly what did Sumlin and Mazzone base their latest shitty decision on? I don’t really care to hear about potential because in my opinion there isn’t that much there. Fast combined with innacurate throwing and slow to make a decision is NOT a good combination for a major college QB.

I keep saying we shouldn’t have to rely on our players to overcome coaching and personnel decisions. Yet again this is a true statement.

Sumlin and Mazzone are a joke. A bad joke.

Well, for starts, I'd have to argue who gives a frick. You're yelling at the wall.

I'm guessing Starkel is still not fully recovered from the injury.

But I've kind of moved on from critiquing the decisions of a staff that is on its way out.

I am guessing they thought he would continue improving with additional playing time. He has clearly hit a wall and badly needs a full offseason to work on things.

I stopped trying to understand or reason with decisions this coaching staff made a long time ago. Nothing they do make sense and the obvious things that everybody in the stadium can see escape them.

They truly are in over their heads and aren’t cutout to coach at the level this program needs. All of them.

This is coming from someone who wants Sumlin fired, let’s just get that out of the way before y’all start attacking the strawman.

Mond had one bad game. Historically, we’ve had horrible results switching QBs in and out. If we started Starkel and even if he had an average showing, you same people would be ripping Sumlin for switching QBs back and forth like always.

Sumlin needs to go, but the criticism of every single decision is just counter productive. Makes us look stupid and petty as a fan base.

Just one?

He was bad against UCLA, Nicholls, Florida, and Miss State.

This team would be a hell of a lot better off had Starkel never been hurt. He's so much better it's not even funny.

One bad game. Are we talking about the same guy?

Good lord.

Yeah, he’s had more than one bad game. To be fair, Mond has had some good games too, I remember how excited this board was after the Arkansas game with him. I’m still not sold either way on Mond yet, I think he could still develop into a really solid player if we get the right next coach who can coach him up. He might also be a bust, who knows.

That’s what happens when you roll with a true fish qb, there’s gonna be a lot of ups and downs with them. Sumlin should’ve done a better job of recruiting, developing, and most importantly KEEPING the quarterback talent on campus and not putting himself in this situation to begin with.

But we all knew sumlin was bad with QBs. The ole miss game where he left an obviously hurt Kyle Allen in to have 20 incomplete passes in a row or whatever it was should’ve clued y’all in years ago.

Mond, I still believe, will be special.

That being said, Starkel makes the offense run and should be starting. It was painfully evident against State.

Why Sumlin repeats the error is just another reason why Sumlin isn't the right coach.

This right here. Lost all confidence in his ability to manage QBs after that fiasco.

Which one?

Had Showers & Manziel. Showers quit.
Had Kyle Allen and Kenny Hill. Hill quit.
Had Kylar Murray and Kyle Allen. Both quit.
Now we have Starkel and Mond. Both will probably quit.

The results today have done little more than piss off everyone around me even more. I don't think I'e ever been at a game in any sport at any level where a blowout win has made the crowd want to fire the HC even more.

This win is making Sumlin look even worse in retrospect. Amazing.
