So are we kindof 100% accepting that we are going to lose to Bama?

I get that vibe, both here and IRL. Everyone pretty much accepts that we are not going to beat them. Saban only loses when its a fluke, and playing Bama while he is there is like playing a mid level NFC east team. You hope for them to have a bad game and for your team to catch some breaks, and then it comes down to the wire.

I think it's more expecting to lose than accepting. Yeah we will almost certainly lose and have low expectations, but we haven't played our best game yet.

I guess so. I don't expect us to win at all but I do expect us to battle our asses off and give them a scare. I will be really disappointed if it isn't competitive for some reason. We will see how they do vs UT this weekend but I expect us to lose like 34-20 or something like that.

Just enjoying this year as I think we have an excellent shot at going 10-2 or 11-1 and ending up somewhere special for the postseason

Accepting? IDK, but we are a pretty large underdog. I give us a fighting shot especially with the bye week and potential rough game vs UT.

I have zero expectations other than a brutal physical game, that's why I'm really hoping Tennessee heals fast and grinds them down

I'm accepting that I'm not going to find reasonably priced tickets to the game. Other than that, I won't be surprised by any outcome. No one expecting us to win the last time we won there either, but it still happened. We'd have to be on our game but it could happen.

If UT wins this week, I think our chances of winning go way down.

I think we would be ~13 pt dogs if the game was played. That's roughly a 10-15% win expectancy, so somewhere between 1 in 6 and 1 in 10.

Accepting? No.

Expecting? Yes.

Would relish being wrong, of course.

I mean, yeah. We're most likely going to lose. Is there a possibility we can win? Yes. But it has to be something like 15%.

It was that way before the season and is still that way.

We are accepting a loss yes. The reason for doing so: If we lose, no big deal it was expected. If we win, it will be the win of the century of the year.

If we somehow beat Alabama, we basically have a bye and a half (New Mexico State, Mississippi State) before Ole Miss and another bye (UTSA) before LSU.

We would lose to Mississippi State. Classic trap game. I could see it happening.

Get a dog

Just kidding. I'm not expecting anything, but with an extra week to heal up and prepare for it, you never know.
Anything is possible

No if we win, we have to finish with the SEC Championship. If we beat Bama and don't win the SEC this year, it is meaningless.

If we win, it will be the win of the century of the year so far

How's that? It will also be the first time since joining the SEC we will have won game 7.

doesn't matter. Nobody will care except Aggies.

Look at Ole Miss. They beat Bama the last 2 years but didn't cash in those chips. What do they have to show for it now? An SEC championship is forever. It can't be taken away. No body cares that Bama lost to us in 2012 or Ole Miss cause they won the SEC and then the NCG.

For A&M to beat Alabama, Knight will need to play with a consistency that he has not yet showed. Could happen, but I expect his typical up and down game, with some poor throws followed by some big plays.

We'll also need to get Trayveon Williams going running the football. The problem is nobody has been able to run on Alabama. I'm concerned our running game will get nothing much going against Alabama.

But I do think Alabama is beatable if Ags play at their ceiling. Problem is, we have played a flawed game every game this year. Are we all of a sudden going to put it all together against Alabama? I guess it could happen, but I bet the wiseguys in Vegas will be projecting something different.

We really need to heal up and hope Tennessee takes a toll on Alabama this week.

I don't see any way that Bama hangs with us for 4 quarters. Statement game.
