good win and gutsy performance

Our off guard play is awful though. I'd play anyone that could provide average defense and knew how to make an entry pass pretty much 40 mpg because I've yet to see anyone from the current collection that can do that.

Probably the funniest moment of the game to me was tied at like 62 and we had the ball and Gilder took the ball from Hampton and waved him into the corner.

he certainly has that potential. Right now I'd guess he'd need to spend a few years in the d-league though and so you might as well spend that time in college and end up as a lottery pick in a few years. But if he develops over the course of the season, it becomes a legitimate concern

We're really missing JJ. If we had him, my expectations would be much higher. Considering our guard situation, my expectations are still at just making the tournament.

oh no doubt. But he's not playing so we need to figure it out. We have time and all and if we can, we can make a decent tourney run.

The combo of Hampton/Smith/Collins statline

42 minutes
0-7 shooting, 0 points
1 assist
4 turnovers
6 rebounds
0 steals, 0 blocks, 4 fouls

that's.....not good

i guess eubanks injury is similar to myles' cause he was supposed to be ready by now. I know hes not a 1 but hes at least played some minutes so he cant be too injured and he has something carlton and collins could only dream of, talent.

we really do pose a huge mismatch for them. just afraid that we will be trading 2s for 3s

okay im intrigued cause you(UCLA fan) say that but they have much bigger and better frontcourt than VT did as well as the best player on the court, lonzo ball. where are the mismatches you see?

VaTech up 10 deep into the second half on Nebraska. Would be great for that to turn into a high-quality win.

Well yea. He has a real shot at going #1 in the draft

Tonight's going to depend on us controlling the tempo and actually being able to hit some threes when we need to

good thing is it's really a no lose situation for us.

In OOC we still have UCLA, AZ, and WVU. All are top teams that should end up as a 4 seed or better. Any one would be a marquee win.

Good start. Wish a couple of those open looks would have gone down.
