Bama could not run and the pressure UGA could bring as a result killed them. One thing I like about Fisher (this year not included) is the balanced attack and the want/will/need to be able to run the ball and be pretty balanced on offense.

His offense is often critized as a bit outdated. Is it really outdated if you can run and pass the ball effectively? Balanced attacks are deadly in todays football if you have the talent to be balanced. You have got to win the LOS on offense.

UGA won because of that in the 2nd half. Just too much running game and the result was the entire playbook opened up for them in the 2nd half.

UGA beat a passing team last night.

Several times last night Jimbo just shook his head and would bark out "RUN THE BALL", I don't think he is a fan of BOB.

Had Jimbo taken his own advice we win vs Pig, OM, and Corndog.

I think shows it’s easier to call games as a neutral party observing from up high instead of down on the field in the heat of things. Jimbo definitely didn’t follow his own advice and put the game on calzadas arm a few times (and we lost).

There was a thread on the rant talking about how Kirby was screaming for his guy to go down after the interception instead of running it back for the pick 6 which it was agreed on it was a dumb idea as Bama had all 3 timeouts and was only down by 8 points. It was better to extend the lead and risk the potential defensive fumble trying for more points. So even national championship winning coaches can have bad ideas during a game. I still think this is an area where Jimbo needs to grow (adjusting on the fly and game time decisions) as he’s made some head scratching decisions this year.

100%.

I think it also provided a small glimpse to what things might be like if Jimbo gave up playcalling duties (which I know will never happen).

Allowing him to focus on the big picture instead of the minutiae of trying to pick the perfect play every 30-40 seconds seems like it would help the overall product.

If things go south in couple of games like they did this last year then someone needs to approach him a little more sternly about the possibility. Its only going to take shitting the bed a time or two for these 5*s to be looking at the portal, Bama had 5 enter it today one of which was a 5* I believe. Who was the last HC that called offensive plays to win a NC?

I think it was Jimbo in the 2013 season when FSU beat Auburn in the final BCS title game.

That actually may have been the only title game in the last 20 years where both HCs called their plays.
